Lake LBJ Texas

We will be headed out to lake LBJ this weekend. We will be staying at horse shoe bay resort. Wanted to find out if there is any good places to find smooth water? Also do I need to worry about any under water hazards or sand bars. Seems like this lake stays pretty full. Any advice is greatly appriciated.

I have a lake house on lbj...it really depends on the day you kinda have to check it out day by day because it varies a lot. My house is on the other side of the lake so I don't go near horseshoe bay to often. Kind of a obvious answer but if you really want a lot of calm water you have to wake up early (on weekends). On weekdays you should have a wide range of good wakeboard spots. You can find some big cove kind of areas where the water is usually calm compared to the rest of the lake.
