So tonight I was sitting in the living room looking at my new speaker box with a buddy and we decided we'd throw her in the boat and fire it off. Not the greatest of ideas being I haven't permantly attached the polycarbonate cover because I still need to get the flames pin stripped. Well figured 10 screws should be sufficent. Wired it up and turned the radio on and it shot the screws across the boat and launched the polycarbonate into my head! I'm begining to wonder if I might have to much bass? The cranky old fart behind my house even yelled turn that off or I'll kill you. lol (My parents happen to be my next door neighbors so not the first time I've heard that threat!) lol
Well I guess the lesson learned I need to be more patient!
I attached a photo of the box before it attacked me!

lmfao!

Closest I've ever come to that is getting a piece of plywood in a bind on a table saw and having it lift off and fly at my head. I knew it was coming at least.

That's a lot of bass!

I don't know much about bandpass and ported boxes, so take this with a grain of salt. Is the speaker wired in the right phase? Again, no idea, just doesn't seem like that should happen!!

funny as hell! I know I've done my fair share of stupid shid, hopefully it wasn't too painful!!
