Hey guys, I was out on an 03 Malibu Direct Drive wakesetter this weekend and we could not get the wake large enough to surf w/o the rope. The boat has a center ballast 300 pounds? and a manual wedge, we had 3 people in the back and still could not get it to work. What type of fat sack would help? Thx

Good luck, I tried to surf my friend's 03 23 Wakesetter last Summer with no luck, 700# sac, 400# sac on top of factory ballast + 3 200 lb guys. It would not even begin to build a wake until about 16mph. We tried wedge up and down.

You're gonna need at least 2000 lbs of ballast on top of the factory ballast to get a surfable wave. Most of the guys in the wakesetters are running 3000 lbs or more plus factory
