So a good friend of ours is getting married next Labor Day in Alliance Nebraska. We decided to hitch the boat up to the RV and drive from Sunny California to Nebraska and Back!

The goal for this trip. We have two weeks, with a wedding for one day in the middle. Is to ride as many different lakes as possible! Maybe two or three lakes a day! Just want to take a set each at every lake we can!

Any ideas as to what lakes to visit? Secret spots? Wanna meet up for a set behind the MaliBlue? We just want to go on an Epic wakeboarding trip. Thinking Northern route there off highway 80, and a lower route on the way home. Only lake we have to hit is Lake Powell because Gary's been crying about going there for ever. Other then that tell us where to go and when! Thanks for all the advice guys, and hopefully we'll get to meet some of you on your home lake!

If your trailer tires are more than 4 years old make sure you replace them. I just got back from a trip from Texas to Arkansas and had two blow outs 3 hours apart. The tread on my tires was fine but the tires were over 4 years old and were ticking time bombs.

After the second blow out I limped around Oklahoma on 3 wheels looking for new tires. I finally found a set after going to 4 different shops. I went ahead and replaced them all. Lesson learned.

(Message edited by Nauty on July 27, 2009)

Yea probaly do that, specially since my tread is actually wore out right now! We've trailered the boat around quite a bit! Good advice though! Thanks!

I would probably stop at Lake McConaughy in NE. It's right off of I-80.

http://www.lakemcconaughy.com/

Lots of great lakes in southern OK and Arkansas. Bull Shoals on the Arkansas - Missouri line.

Robert looks like we are going to have a great trip.

If you are going far north, go to that lake in Idaho that Randall Harris was filmed at in NBT I think? Looks epic

hudd007 07-31-2009 12:05 AM

Three lakes a day is gonna be a tough one. Good luck.

I really like Lake of the Ozarks (Ithink that's what it's called.) in Missouri. If ya go that way. It's so clean and I had glass the couple times I got to ride there. And it's huge.

I live at the above Lake and respectfully suggest that if you are looking for pure wakeboarding, you wave on your way by heading further south to Table Rock or Bull Shoals. If you come on a weekday, you could get some good morning or evening sets in, but beyond that, its jumpin.

If you're going through Phoenix, Bartlett Lake on the weekdays is probably your best bet for butter. Sounds like it's going to be a great trip. It reminds me of "The Endless Summer" movie about the guys traveling around the world looking for surf. Have a good time Robert. And if you're near Phoenix and have car/trailer troubles give me a shout.

gwperry2 08-02-2009 2:49 AM

Robert
so far we are going to ;lake powell and I think Parker AZ.
Any one got any other have to go lakes???????

vtecths 08-02-2009 12:52 PM

+1 for Bartlett on weekdays.. I have heard good things... I mean bad things.. err...

Pleasant in NW Phoenix has been ok as long as you go early (5am) and leave early (10am) before the jet skiers and tubers get there.
