Need the WW's opinion on the best way to sell a boat. Where have you guys had the most luck selling a boat? It is $150 to place an ad in boat trader. Is it worth it? Just need to sell ASAP and need some advice. Thank you.

Craig's list is free and good.
You also have www.onlyinboards.com I think it is 20 bucks to list it with them.

has anyone had any luck with Boat trader. I always forget about craigslist, thank you.

I found my boat on boattrader. They had the biggest selection and I always checked their site until something came up. Price it right and it should go fast.

I put mine on onlyinboards.com on a monday, guy calls me on tuesday, boat was gone on saturday. Before I put in on there i had it on a couple other sites and never got a bite.

The very best way is to have a full page on a website and then post on Craigslist or some other place with links to every single detail and picture you can put together.

I sold mine with an ad on CL that linked to a hidden page on my business website. Here is the link if you want to see what it looked like. Sold in 15 minutes when I put it up on CL.

http://www.coloradoadventuresports.com/Malibuboatforsale.htm

Also, advertise in warmer areas such as Texas and Florida.
