Its a 08 blindside with liquid force bindings. The owner says he paid $750 for it and wants only $250. Should I buy it? <BR> <BR>Anyone know how to tell the size or what sizes this board came in? <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/673168.jpg" alt="Upload">

I don't know much about that board but those bindings are only worth about $20. <BR> <BR>You should be able to find a real nice set up on eBay for under $300 easy. <BR> <BR>BTW- This should be posted in the General Wakeboarding Discussion section.

scramison 02-23-2009 7:34 PM

Thanks Phelps, if any mods can move this post for me I would appreciate it. <BR> <BR>Anyone know anything on the board? <BR> <BR>I knew this guy sounded foggy on his numbers. <BR> <BR>Phelps could you direct me to one of these good ebay deals? Im a intermediate level wakeboarder. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by scramison on February 23, 2009)

That board is a Blindside 5-0 from the year 2000. When it was new the board cost $279 tops. Also, Blindside is out of business and has been for a few years now. Have a look. <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/boardguide/getboard2.asp?boardid=573" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/boardguide/getboard2.asp?boardid=573</a> <BR> <BR>As mentioned those bindings are about as low quality as you can find. All told I'd pay the guy $50(although I'd save my money and get a decent board) for the whole setup, you can get such nicer equipment if you shop around. Someone is trying to hose you.

ponyh8r 02-23-2009 8:48 PM

How tall are you, how much do you weigh and what size foot do you have? Do you want a three stage or continuous rocker board? What is your experience level? What tricks do you have down and what are you progressing to? Answering these questions will help people make educated suggestions to help you out. Good luck finding a board, there are some good deals out there, we just kinda need to know where your at.

second on grizzly those guys are dope no questions asked no bs.

brett564 02-24-2009 3:38 AM

Thats a horrible deal. Just look on EBAY, I always bid low on expensive things I really don't need, and mostly don't win. But every once in a while I get a gem. I always see what the ending bids are though, and you can get a brand new set up last years boards and bindings for much cheaper than that old thing.

dh03r6 02-24-2009 6:45 AM

I hope that guy is not a friend of yours.

fullonsalesgrp 02-24-2009 8:04 AM

yo yo <BR>that board was fun back when it first came out! <BR>But sooooo many things have changed since I would contact the guys at off axis see what shipping is either of those boards would be better. <BR>David is right <a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/672577.html?1235328263" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/672577.html?1235328263</a>

ryoder 02-24-2009 11:11 AM

grizzly just hooked me up with a new ronix one and i could not be any happier. check out the boards that grizzly has on ebay cause they usually run even cheaper!

wakeborder5 02-24-2009 12:16 PM

lol as someone pointed out that board is old and wasn't very good for it's time, let alone now. Same with the bindings. Find some closeouts online, you will get much better stuff the same or less. And tell that guy he is full of <font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font>

pnichols 02-24-2009 12:36 PM

Call the guys at grizzly. Their prices on the site are ok. They will give you a better deal if you call them.

cpizzle 02-24-2009 10:00 PM

Grizzly. That's who I usually see on eBay blowing stuff out. Def a good seller. For example, you should be able to find a 08 Murray ($550 retail) for around $200 and some nice bindings/boots for $100-150. Let us know how much you weigh and we can help with the size. I'm guessing a 140 in the Murray if you went that direction. It's a awesome board for beginner to advanced but there are lots of good choices out there.

mcclure_kevo 02-24-2009 11:09 PM

ill sell you a 06 watson and 08 zeuses for fourhundred

andy_nintzel 02-25-2009 5:19 AM

I would go to <a href="http://www.the-house.com" target="_blank">www.the-house.com</a> and grab a new set up.

jcas 02-25-2009 10:32 AM

03-04-2009 12:17 AM

I have my 07 shane 136 with 07 shane CT bindings size large for sale. $185 shipped. <BR>This setup really would have been around $750 new.

wakebrdr38 03-04-2009 6:32 AM

Where was that guy located? It looks like a guy out here. If so the guy is in the industry and thats just ridiculous

zachcopp 03-04-2009 7:49 AM

Ive got a 2008 Liquid Force Shane 136 with 2007 Liquid Force Shane open toe bindings im tryin to sell. Set up is in perfect condition. For some reason that marina looks like it is on Hubbard, if not then my bad. But if so im local and you could give the board a ride to see if you wanna buy it.

scramison 03-05-2009 3:44 PM

Kevin <BR>that guys name is Brandon Bowen. Is that the guy you were thinking? Im doubting it. <BR> <BR>Zach <BR>what were you looking to get for that setup? I am local btw.

malibuboats4 03-05-2009 4:19 PM

go check your local shop. i did and they had all the '08 stuff on sale. i bought a '08 ps3 limited for about 180 and a pair of watsons for 180. 360 is steal for a brand new set up imho.

wakebrdr38 03-05-2009 5:51 PM

sounds really familiar and that marina definately looks like its on hubbard. Either way that guy has tool written all over him.

wake77 03-05-2009 6:11 PM

With a capital T

zachcopp 03-05-2009 6:38 PM

yo yo (scramison)- pm sent. <BR>I knew that marina and water color looked familiar! Me and Kevin are definitely on the same page!
