Chewed up my prop yesterday, and I don't have a prop puller. Does anyone have one I can borrow? I live in NE phx/Scottsdale area. <BR>Or anyone know of a decent in town prop shop, or somewhere they will rent one out.

robert try to find a harbor freight store. purchase a gear puller for about 10 bucks and it should work just fine
|
Alan, thanks...i know where one is

I just used a piece of wood and a 5 lb dead blow to take my prop off. Don't forget to leave the nut on the end the prop goes flyin.

If you still need to borrow one, send me an email. I live in north Glendale.

I cheapest prop shop in PHX that I have found is Seth Smith Propellers. You can reach them at 602-468-3346. They quoted me $119 to rebuild a 4 blade inboard prop. They are located at 2136 E. Indian School Rd. The other big prop shop in town is Props Plus in Scottsdale and you can reach them at 480-949-0840. Hopefully that information is helpful to you.

FYI - Most dealers can get a break in price for you at both places!

I just used a gear puller from Harbor Freight to remove my prop. Worked well. Had to take the third arm of the puller off and just use the two 180 degrees opposite of each other.
