We are trying to figure out when to do the sound off at Spring Ride. Trying not to conflict with the double up comp to much. We were even thinking about trying to run it on Friday afternoon or Sunday Morning. What do you guys think that will be competing?
Any input would be great.

westsiderippa 03-26-2008 11:44 PM

friday afternoon is my vote if enough peeps can make it in time. ill be blowing shizzle up with my 4 stock 6.5 RF, lol.

or lets just make it start at 0 dark 30 saturday morning and have a mariachi sound off over by by grants house

dscorni 03-27-2008 6:39 AM

My vote is for sat. am.
Whats that, party at Grants house????

deltariderscom 03-27-2008 7:09 AM

Late Friday afternoon would be a different feel and could be pretty cool going into the evening. You could add an additional trophy for total overall affect. Take into consideration LED lighting.
Otherwise big improvement to move it to a time that is not in direct conflict with the DU contest.

chas 03-27-2008 10:31 AM

Only thing about Friday is would every one be able to make it up in time?

jbwaken 03-27-2008 12:03 PM

I vote for Saturday....more people on Sat...

grant_west 03-27-2008 12:11 PM

Lets just blow up "Ghetto Cove" and call it the Sound Off. Rhonda will love us. Dave won't Paul's house be finsihed by then? We could have a house warming there and when Pauls boat catches on fire he wont have far to tow it!

norcalmalibu 03-27-2008 1:21 PM

Friday is when everyone usually arrives so I vote for any other day then that.

Does anyone know if they have any room left at the hotel?

sbilyeu 03-31-2008 3:30 PM

I vote Friday over Sunday, although Sat would be best IMO for turnout. When is the DU contest?

chilidog 04-01-2008 3:29 PM

I am a total green noob but where is this Spring Ride?? Sounds like a delta thing due to where y'all are from....

Thanks

westsiderippa 04-01-2008 4:51 PM

lake tulloch, its mainly a norcal thing but everyone is welcome, the more the better. its like a mini board stock, come on out, cinco de mayo weekend. sound off comp, wake board comp, double up comp, and alot of B.B.B. you figure that one out. lates bryan

phatboypimp 04-01-2008 6:57 PM

Although I wont be in the event, as someone who wants to see the show, my vote is for Saturday. Some of us can't get there till late on Friday and the Sunday crowd dies down quite a bit.

chas 04-02-2008 2:27 PM

Would like to get some kind of a boat count of how many might want to play. It is a fun time just to see what your boats can do.

deltariderscom 04-02-2008 3:27 PM

DRA in the house.

westsiderippa 04-02-2008 3:44 PM

chas you know what my boat can do, she's a sleeper.

guido 04-02-2008 3:50 PM

Hey guys.... The reason he's asking the question is that we're trying to work around the D-up contest on saturday. We've got a lot of big name riders headed out trying to stake their claim on a big chunk of cash. We'd like to avoid the afternoon wind/chop for them and put on a good show for the crowd. Expect the riders to be going off the dock early.

The sound off is a really cool deal, which is why we decided not to cancel it. We'd like to have it stand on it's own and get the crowds focus. Friday night would be fun because it's when everyone shows up. It'd be a lot of fun to grab a beverage and check out what's going on at the dock. Sunday would leave it being a stand alone deal. Nothing much else going on. But people do have a tendency to pack up and head out. The only possibility on Saturday would be after the D-up comp. Which will definitely be tight in terms of daylight. You also tend to lose the crowd to the bar at that time of the afternoon.

My vote.... Friday night, but what have I got to say... LOL!! Plus, it gives everyone a good excuse to take the day off or split out of work early.

grant_west 04-02-2008 4:08 PM

Evan Friday night thing might not be a bad idea. The thing is if its cold the whole night thing is a bad no good if it get's cold everyone is outa there. It would be cool for the lights and having the DU thing outa the way. Evan how long should the DU thing take?? is it somthing that will take all day? Could it be set up for Sat early morning for the DU contest and then after 12 start the Sound off?

walt 04-02-2008 4:14 PM

Friday night is a great idea IMO.

load 04-02-2008 4:25 PM

I agree with the Friday night, although I won't make it there it makes for a good event to pull the Friday together.

detonate69 04-02-2008 4:35 PM

Friday Night sounds good. I'd like to check it out but don't wanna miss the D-Up comp. Theres gonna be some heavy hitters this year.

ponte_06_x2 04-02-2008 7:40 PM

friday night sounds good.

grant_west 04-02-2008 8:00 PM

What about Sat night do you think more or less people will be there?

westsidarider 04-02-2008 8:02 PM

i think saturday evening....once the comp is over if we get started early this year. even if it gets started late like last year there was plenty of light after the finals to run the sound off.

ponte_06_x2 04-02-2008 8:11 PM

we can party it up at the dock with the boats bumping. sat night

04-02-2008 8:49 PM

so does that mean there is no soundoff at lost isle this year?

chas 04-02-2008 10:24 PM

We will still be doing Lost Isle also

seattle 04-03-2008 6:04 AM

Someone please keep an eye on Bufffalo's cooler this year.

deltariderscom 04-03-2008 7:44 AM

Cliff,

Buff will be sneaking cold ones out of the DRA 22SSV. We will limit him to only what is in the cooler.

Problem is have you seen how big the cooler is in the SUPRA.

grant_west 04-03-2008 10:51 AM

audiopro74 04-03-2008 6:18 PM

westsidarider 04-03-2008 7:14 PM

chas 04-03-2008 9:34 PM

As Chris said we will doing the SLP comp on Friday.
Going to try and start by 3 and go as long as it takes. Should be a good time by all.
Main reason is not to conflict with the double up on Sat.
If you have any questions feel free to contact us at (209) 466-8863

Look forward to seeing you all there.

bond 04-03-2008 9:37 PM
