Just wondering if anyone has the sony alpha a200? Looking at this camera or maybe the nikon d40. Both in my price range. Just looking for reviews and what not.

i got a d40, really like it but wish i would have gotten "more" camera

explain plz. My bro-n-law has the d40 and we used it to take some wakeboard shots and came out really good.

I have a D40x that was a Christmas gift in 2007, with the kit lens. Great camera, but I'm thinking of getting a D300. PM me if you're interested.

The D40's and 60's and such are good cameras. The problem is, once you try the good stuff like a D200 or a D300 then it is a little hard to go back. <BR> <BR> <BR>One of the good things about going with Nikon or Canon is that it is pretty simple to rent the nice glass. That way when you go on a trip where you need a $1500 lens or even a $5000 lens you can simply rent it and be good to go.
