need help. i have been trying to land one. been watching videos. seems to be easiest to do it backside (thow it toward where you are edging). also it seems best to get far back on the wave. speed up. and throw it when you cant go any closer to the boat. but i cant seem to get this trick. would it be easier if i took the fin off?

Are you keeping your weight on your back leg or shifting it forward? The most common mistake I see people make is to lean on the nose in an attempt to release the fin(s) which isn't necessary.

It might be hard to tell but my weight never leaves the back of the board

(Message edited by caskimmer on May 06, 2007)

That wake is almost throwing a barrel! Whats your setup/boat?

caskimmer 05-07-2007 7:34 AM

04 Malibu VLX, wedge up with about 1200lbs in the corner, 300 in the bow and another 400 in lead laid along right side. I still need to get the exact specs from my sister and post it here and the "post your wake setup thread" but that's close. (4 people in the boat)

(Message edited by caskimmer on May 07, 2007)
