What is your biggest trick that you can do a trampoline?

thane_dogg 09-11-2004 12:06 PM

what do you mean by biggest?

malibuboarder75 09-11-2004 12:17 PM

well im doing like off axis 9's, bs off axis 7's, every mobe 540. Havnt gone for double inverts or 1080's +.

thane_dogg 09-11-2004 12:26 PM

good job. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/triangle_down.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>....can we move on?

malibuboarder75 09-11-2004 12:33 PM

i was just wondering what other people went for. you dont have to be a d!ck

thane_dogg 09-11-2004 12:39 PM

well im doing like off axis 1440's, bs off axis 1260's, every double mobe 720. Haven't gone for quintuple inverts or 1620's yet. <BR> <BR>I went for quadruple 900 method to indy back mobe, and I fell off and ruptured my spleen broke a couple ribs and punctured a lung last week, but I've been granted total conciousness on my death bed, so I got that goin' for me. <BR> <BR>Do the words Dain Bramage mean anything to you?

malibuboarder75 09-11-2004 1:08 PM

you are too cool dude <BR>i wish i could be as hardcore.

toyotafreak 09-11-2004 1:20 PM

Blind one &amp; 3, FS 3 and some grabs are what I do on the tramp. That's where my riding needs the work. In other words, well, you know... <BR> <BR>Need to get Thane out on the Yota to give some of that good free coaching.

malibuboarder75 09-11-2004 1:34 PM

derek, that is the biggest bimini i have ever seen.

toyotafreak 09-11-2004 1:44 PM

Works good for the kids.

byerly137pro 09-11-2004 6:13 PM

Can someone tell me what a mobe is, I hear it all the time and don't know what it means.

leshella 09-11-2004 9:53 PM

i mobe is an invert with some sort of spin added to it. such as a crow-mobe---a TS front and then added a 360 with a handle pass.

malibuboarder75 09-12-2004 9:00 AM

a mobe is an invert with a 360. invert 180s are not mobes. the mobes are: <BR>whirlybird- tantrum w/ bs 1 handed ole 3 <BR>moby d!ck- tantrum w/ handle pass bs 3 <BR>hs mobe- hs backroll w/ fs 3 (ive never heard a name for this) <BR>kgb- hs backroll w/ bs 3 <BR>pete rose- ts backroll w/ fs 3 <BR>crow mobe- ts frontroll w/ fs 3 (does not need a handle pass as les stated) <BR>dum dum- ts frontroll w/ bs 3 <BR>blind pete- ts backroll w/ bs 3 <BR>big wurm- ts frontroll w/ fs ole 3 <BR> <BR>watch that steve edwards video in this forum...he does 4 of these mobes. I believe i listed them all.

leshella 09-12-2004 12:16 PM

oops! my bad on the handle pass thing....

sbvfive 09-12-2004 12:27 PM

Leo, i was going thru the list, and you forgot about a front mobe (slim chance). Other than that, I think that you nailed them all....have you decided where you are going for school??

malibuboarder75 09-12-2004 7:03 PM

how could i miss that one??? haha, yea. <BR> <BR>front flip w/ fs 3 <BR> <BR>Does anyone know all the names for the tricks when done switch. I know a switch slim chance is a fat chance. Do all of them have different names or is it just 'switch whirlybird' and etc.

deepstructure 09-12-2004 7:37 PM

some of them have names, many don't seem to. some mobe's i haven't even heard a name for (no one seems to do them - e.g. front flip with a backside 3, tantrum with a fs 3, etc.). i put together a list awhile ago and asked for help on the boards here to fill it out but never got any - perhaps we can try again: <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/190247.gif" alt="flip_spin_list">

malibuboarder75 09-12-2004 7:54 PM

I dont think that anyone has done those tricks to give them a name...like a tantrum fs 3 and frontflip bs 3. If someone has, then it has a name???

malibuboarder75 09-12-2004 8:08 PM

by the way, a hasselhoff is a switch tootsie roll i believe. Thomas horrel of all people named it. thomas is great

thane_dogg 09-13-2004 2:36 PM

A hasslehoff is a switch hs front to blind.

thane_dogg 09-13-2004 3:11 PM

Main Entry: Mö·bi·us <BR>Pronunciation: 'm[OE]-bE-&amp;s-, 'm&amp;(r)-, 'mO- <BR>Function: noun <BR>Etymology: August F. <font color="ff0000">Möbius</font> died 1868 German mathematician <BR>: a one-sided surface that is constructed from a rectangle by holding one end fixed, rotating the opposite end through 180 degrees, and joining it to the first end <BR> <BR> <BR>...so basically a mobius is any flip with a 180. <BR> <BR> <BR>Derek - you let me ride and I'll pay you to let me instruct. deal?<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0> <BR>

dakid 09-13-2004 3:14 PM

august didn't say anything about flippin' the triangle. <BR> <BR>hahahaha

toolfan 09-13-2004 3:35 PM

whats the biggest move you can do on wakeboarding unleashed? same relevance as a trampoline. <BR> <BR>I cant do a backflip on a trampoline, but I landed a tantrum the first time I tried it.

deepstructure 09-13-2004 5:35 PM

thane, i believe the reason for calling a <i>360</i> with a flip a mobius is because the idea behind doing what you described above is to create a one-sided surface. to experience that you have to follow the edge around a complete rotation - thus a mobius would be considered any flip with a full 360, not just a 180. <BR> <BR>the 180 twist refers only to the manipulation of the surface plane necessary to create (when joined together in an infinite loop), a surface with only one side. but the name mobius refers to the path of the edge, which encapsulates the full 360 degree turn. <BR> <BR>if you really want to get technical - to completely circumscribe the single edge - you have "go around" the entire circle of the mobius strip <i>twice</i>, thus making two rotations. but i think if we only called flips with 2 spins in them mobius' we'd never use the term. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0>

utlakerider1 09-13-2004 6:12 PM

All of the raleys are cool to do on the tramp. It helps if someone bounces you

toyotafreak 09-13-2004 6:19 PM

Thane, noted. Got my order in for some winter glass (after one more Havasu trip ;-)

fly135 09-13-2004 6:29 PM

If a Mobius must match a dictionary definition, does a Fruit Loop have to involve cereal?

shutupandboard 09-15-2004 1:41 PM

Follow the white rabbit.

wakestar8878 09-15-2004 2:10 PM

I've been working on my switch, toeside, wrapped, backside, osmosis, 1620, front to frontside, nose press, to handle pass 360 out. <BR> <BR>Joking aside: You guys forgot about the mobe that started it all the Eric Perez, Flyin Hawaiin signature move the "blender."

deepstructure 09-15-2004 2:54 PM

ah, thanks for pointing that out shawn. i've always wondered what the blender was. wakeboarder's trick list defines it as such: <BR> <BR><blockquote><hr size=0><!-quote-!><font size=1><b>quote:</b></font><p>Blender: A wrapped Heelside Backroll - Invented by Eric Perez.<!-/quote-!><hr size=0></blockquote> <BR> <BR>and i never knew if that meant a wrapped backroll - or a wrapped mobius. thanks for clarifying. and here i was thinking of trying a wrapped backroll...

shutupandboard 09-15-2004 4:21 PM

OMG Chris. That land collision must have messed something up.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/wink.gif" border=0>

deepstructure 09-15-2004 8:07 PM

LOL! but wait, it could work...! <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/uhoh.gif" border=0>

09-17-2004 9:08 PM

stack you makin a movie for the contest in Wakeboarding?

deepstructure 09-18-2004 12:35 AM

nope. what contest? i haven't gotten the latest issue yet...

bill 09-18-2004 6:28 AM

dont forget the Diesel which is a TS whirly 5(ts front with a ole 540) or a Big Wurm 540

wakejump 09-18-2004 6:51 AM

i have only done a few tricks on the trampolin. like fromt flip and back.

deepstructure 09-18-2004 12:02 PM

bill if you're refering to my list i purposefully put the cut off at 3s (there's plenty of mobe 5s as well as the whirlydyk, etc.)

gdillyfunk69 09-18-2004 10:14 PM

Does anyone have pics of them on a trampoline doing wake tricks

shutupandboard 09-19-2004 7:52 AM

Here's a frame grab from video of me doin a tantrum with my tramp board on. <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/191289.jpg" alt="">

deepstructure 09-19-2004 4:14 PM

holy s***! damn jeremy, talk about bending over backwards to do a trick. you'll never get the indy grab doing that! <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

byerly137pro 09-19-2004 4:17 PM

For the snowboard team at my sisters University we had two tramps set up in her backyard, and we took an old kids board and did transfers with grabs, and a few guys were doing flips on just one tramp, but its hard to jump high with the board on.

Chris, i was trying to grab indy from the other side.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/wink.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>Ya, it's ALOT harder to do anything on the tramp with the board on. That frame grab is from a short trampoline vid i made a couple years ago. <a href="http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=6583" target="_blank">http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=6583</a> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by shutupandboard on September 19, 2004)
