So know that Wakeboarding season has come to an end, and Snowboard season hasn't started, I got around to trying some more water drop photos. I tried to capture the moment when the drop bounces back up and is hit with the next falling drop! Well I got some, and here are some of my favorites.

This first set I call Blue Drops:

Good stuff. Have spent some time with these a few times before. Awesome job, can definitely be tricky. What was the lighting setup?

The milk shots are great. They look like mushrooms.

goinbigg17 11-12-2008 11:18 PM

Nice work! The milk shots have an awesome look to them. I really like the black drop #2 as well. I like the separation.

steezyshots 11-13-2008 10:03 AM

Awesome work! What focal length were you shooting at? And what lighting were you using?

I can't wait to set up my in home office/studio!

jjakober 11-13-2008 10:39 AM

Thanks everyone!

These were all shot with my Oly E-510 @ 180mm (360mm@35mm eq), f8-f11 1/160th and a single Metz 48AF-1 off camera flash.

Riley,
It sure would be nice to have an office/studio. I got my rig setup in the living room, shot for about a day, and then had to tear it all down

mastercraft1995 11-13-2008 10:48 AM

Nice job

Walt 11-13-2008 2:57 PM

Let's see a pic of the set up.

steezyshots 11-13-2008 3:38 PM

Yeah I hate doing that! Trying to get it all cleaned up before the wifey gets home! Even though you did this in your living room it makes me want to make a room of my house an office/studio permanently just so I can play whenever. As I am sure you and anyone else on here that doesn't have the luxury of having a set up.

Kudos on the pics they are awesome! And even more awesome knowing now the cleanup that came after!
