my 2011 Moomba Mobius LSV
i had a 03 LSV i bought 2 years ago, with no imidiate plans on upgrading.

i got the rad-a-cage.
the V2 tower option was like $3500 i was more than happy with my old rad-a-cage, and this one is more pleasing and larger diameter tubes. |

First of the boat looks great. Is the V2 tower the Illusion? If it is 3500 on top of what you would pay for the standard tower that is absolutely insane.

thanks everyone. yes the V2 is the illusion. and yes the 3500 is on top of the standard "free" rad a cage.
but i BELIEVE it also includes the z5 shade and special board racks in that price. where the standard cage the bimini and board racks are extra. not 100% on that just what i was told. |
Unless something's happened that I don't know about, there is no Z5 available for an illusion/swoop tower.

You can't put a z5 on an illusion tower. If you did you'd have zero head room. THe pic you got is the standard illusion bimini, whihc is super easy to put up and take down, also super durable.

just got new pics yesterday! the boat is at the end of the line and "almost done" tower is on, raised chrome letters are all on, looks like trim plate and swim deck brackets are also on. getting so close!

Looks great. I have always liked that tower. It matches the lines of the boat perfectly. It also looks solid. It also looks like it is very easy to add accessories to including bimini, racks, speakers, lights and a mirror.
I also agree with the others. That would look straight Gansta if it was powder coated black to match the black on the boat, the rubrail and the windshield. |

Great looking boat. I went to the Dallas Boat Show last night and the biggest surprise to me was how the Moomba has stepped up its quality and still at a very reasonable price.

That is really sharp man, I really like the moombas and should ride behind one sometime. If I did, I would probably consider selling mine for a newer one. I do like that tower much better than the malibu looking one.

just got the call! the boat is at the dealership and ready to pick up! wow from contract signing to ready to pick up in 2 weeks. thats just unreal. im so stoked.

Congratulations! That boat looks great! WOW! The deal they gave you is amazing! Times are tough, the boats they were selling three years ago have to be about half of what they were numbers wise.

Nice, i am jealous of you! They let me know that mine will be ready this coming week, and I am real excited. I noticed that you ride on lake belton, i have a few friends that ride out there as well and im sure i will make a few trips there this summer. Are going to hit the lake this weekend? if so let us know how the water is.

well we took her out for her maiden voyage today! we started the motor break in process and got 4 hours on the meter. also checked everything out for the dealership "to fix" list, but couldnt find a single thing wrong. everything worked perfect. hell i was amazed even the bildge stayed BONE dry the entire 4 hours. not a drop.

if I remember correctly Corey you had a nautique 2001 with a monster tower on it just a couple years ago. Talk about some sweeeeet upgrades. You are blessed man.

How many hours do you plan on putting on it before you start pulling someone? On my '08 22SSV I waited 5 hours and started pulling people. After 231 hours when I sold the boat the compression was perfect at 200lbs in each cylinder. Whats the typical break-in for Indmar's? My dealer told me 5 hours was plenty to set the rings and have a proper break-in. I took it in for the first oil change at 15 hours. |

Dwight, yes my first boat was a 82 SN2001. killer boat. still miss that thing great wake. plus the old school factor was just cool, lots of thumbs up from the old guys. Travis. break-in oil change is 20 hours. it wasnt set in stone, but they recommended for the long run to not start ballasting up until 10-20 hours. lol my SN2001 had over 2000 hours on it when i sold it. the compression was right around 89 pounds in each cylinder. ran strong as hell, but smoked pretty bad. |
well got allitle done on the boat today.
did the 20 hour oil change. and had all the oils and planed to do the Vdrive and tranny too but got lazy, and the manual says there good till 100 hours anyway, so ill wait on those. oil was still clear as water and the magnetic plugs will catch any shavings. http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/4...roilchange.jpg also installed a sub, it was a freebie that came with my 03 LSV. sounds good and with the built in amp, couldnt ask for a easier install. although after i put it in my drivers controls for the stereo quit working. they power up and shows the station/track etc, but none of the buttons work, so ill have to look into that. http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/9517/subev.jpg also found some color match "no skid" mat at garden ridge. so i cut that up and put it in the cooler and glovebox to keep them from getting scratched or stained up. http://img863.imageshack.us/img863/7294/mat1.jpg http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/5983/mat2w.jpg |

well i found out why i still had a vibration after replacing the bent stock prop with the acme 1433(we hit a stump). i was going to install the new acme 1939 and discovered this. no clue how i missed it the first time. gonna have to take her in for new strut and shaft. hopefully we didnt damage the v-drive too by wakeboarding a whole weekend with it this way. :(

Been there man.. Hit a submerfed rock/log with my Moomba, lost the prop all together, bent the rudder and bent the prop shaft..
You'll get it back dialed man. Good luck |

well i spent my 4th of July installing some new LEDs in the boat.
i used some LED strips that we use on our RC airplanes, and some left over aluminum bar i had from making the custom bimini top. currently none. were more into riding and often dont even turn on the tunes. but if/when i did. id probly go with a kicker dual speaker dual pod KTM6. there under $200 for the pair (4 speakers) shipped on ebay, and people are having amazing luck with them. i heard a set in person at the oklahoma supra jam. at nearly a mile away they were still crystal clear. and probly a walmart 200.2 amp. had good luck with one on my last LSV. |

Pretty sweet boat!! I am looking at heading down the same path as you. I have an 05 LSV and would be getting a new 2011. Did you notice a big difference in the seat height from the floor? Main complaint I have about our 05 is it feels like you are sitting on the floor and the low tower height.

HUGE difference. one of the main differences is that my 03 couldnt have an integrated bow sac. seats were just too shallow. now i can, plus now i have actually usable storage and cooler under the seats.
