I've seen numerous threads as of late on all the boards about tuning your stereo. On many instances people refer to using an oscope to determine certain maximum volume levels, gains, etc.

I came across this yesterday and was wondering if this would suffice to work for those that dont want to spend a few grand on a nice tektronix.

Would this give you enough information and accuracy to make any good?

http://gizmodo.com/5252774/diy-pocket+sized-oscilloscope-kit-for-33

That is great! I have several scopes but that will do everything you need and way more for audio. Building kits like that is easy if you have a SMALL soldering iron;) It helps a lot to have some experience with electronics.
