i am looking for a new board. i am 6'1 185 so looking at the 140-145 range in size. i ride behind an older inboard supra with a decent wake when sacked out.... but not like the new vdrives can make. <BR> <BR>so i want a board with a good amount of pop with not a ton of effort, also i want the board to be soft and forgiving on landings. was thinking the 08 or 09 murray but any other opinions for the style and wake i am working with??? not able to demo i will prob just buy a board from wakewords classifieds so give me some input thanks

might want to go check out the LF lyman boards i just got on one and im in the same situation ridin behind a 96 sanger direct drive throws a great wake with all of the lead and a bag in the front but like u said no where close to the newer v drives but the lyman pops like crazy in my opinion.

what about byerly boards heard they pop like crazy but are they not good landings? or any opinions on the murray?

im ridin 08 murray 140 behind an ebbtide 210 I/O with fat sacs all around...puts out pretty good wake...i can land into flats with ease...pop is very very consistent and landings are soft.....but it was close btwn the murray and lyman.....and the byerly assault pops like there is no tomorrow but landings are a lil rough...but thats just my $.02

i think i am going to go either with the murrray or lyman which ever i can find in my size that comes across the classifieds first.... then once i start landing more consistant and need a bigger air and have morre control i might move to the byerly. thanks for you input i have read good things about both lyman and murray

well check out buywake.com all their stuff is on sale....i think the 09 murray 140 brand new is 279 or something along those lines....lyman is 299...sooo you might be better off buying a new one...and buywake offers anything over $99 is free shipping...not a bad deal

whoops murray was $339 and lyman was $279...look into lyman LTD version...its only $314

You should try the new CWB Faction 144. Smooth and fast. The board has very little drag and pops big.
