Damper plate on indmar - which years?
 

I know indmars seem to have the issue with the damper plate failing.
I am wondering what year this affects. I've heard of issues with '02-05 year range, wondered if this also affects newer motors in the '07-09 range or even newer - I dont recall seeing any from '07+?
Did they change the type of damper plate used or still the same style that will eventually need to be addressed?
Also - what's the consensus as to when to start considering a repair - is it more hours related or years? I've heard of some being changed out at 800hrs with some "minor" deterioration, and some lower hours around 200hrs..

I know my buddies 07 LSV had it go out on his 8.0 engine, but he's had a ton of issues wiht that motor all around

Mine went out on my 05 LSV a few years ago, I was told they changed to a new plate design in 06 and haven't had nearly as many problems. My understanding was that biggest problem years were 04-05 specifically with the 23+ foot boats

What are the symptoms?
