Pictures of unique tow vehicles.......
A member on the Supra forum started a cool thread to post pics of cool or unique tow vehicles....
Kind of a cool thread. Lets see if we can post pics of cool or unique tow vehicles. Not the run of the mill 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton pickups and SUV's. Maybe unique ones, monster lifts, lowered, classics, etc...... Not mine, but it is a buddy's and we did tow my boat with it once.... It is a bit over the top if you can't tell.... This one is mine. Not the ultimate tow rig, but certainly unique and brings me closer to Lon |
Your setup is sick. Lon's was stupid. Do not compare your legit H1 and actual wakeboard boat to LON's H2 suburban fist pumping rapper mobile and fakeboard boat (crapper included).

This would be the best on gas for a tow vehicle..

|

Here is my tow ride. Sorry for the poor picture. It is all I have on my phone.
"05 Viper Truck |
Not really a tow vehicle, but I have been looking at these lately to help move my boat in and out of a garage that is just too small. I've only moved it in and out once but each time I had to hitch and unhitch it to my truck 3 times with manual moves in between in order to get it into the garage and moved all the way over to one side and then up a set of ramps I built to use the concrete lip at the front of the garage.
http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/m...2008/Dolly.jpg I know it doesn't really fit in this thread but it is a rather unique tow vehicle... |

Not a boat, but I think this is just about the coolest tow vehicle.
http://www.stationwagonforums.com/fo...1_original.jpg I wouldn't mind pulling my boat with my '68, maybe after converting to disc brakes. A few more cool pics... http://www.v-drivevideo.net/pictures...ives_005~0.jpg http://www.v-drivevideo.net/pictures...ives_008~0.jpg http://www.v-drivevideo.net/pictures...o_and_Boat.jpg |

|
Found this while searching the local classifieds the other day... I'm tempted to replace my Grand Cherokee Overland with it!

A shot of my buddy's neighbor's truck. The wind is blowing today & making the ice head north causing some problems with the docks. He decided to use the old Power Wagon to hold the dock in place.

How about a "Limo" haha
|
Simplej. He's not actually hooked up to it. He's posted the pic before and said he just parked right up to the hitch to look like it.
|
It sure looks like it's hooked up! The car appears to be squatting and I don't see a jack down on the trailer...

I'm pretty sure I've seen posts before where he said he's moved it around the driveway with it before.
|
Not quite towing with it yet but hopefully will be by this summer once I get plates on it.

What is the deal with the mad max rig? What is in it? Home made? For the dunes or streets. Pretty cool |
its a full custom tube chassis with a built 351w and c6 tranny. Will be street, dunes, offroad, you name it.

|
Sheldon, i like the man hole at the top, is that for shooting slow people at the ramp>?
|
Thanks Brett, I'm taking it out today and will try to get some good on water shots. I really want to get a new boatmate trailer painted white to complete the look. I'll start a new thread.
|
I like that black trailer, you don't have a lot of white going on there, keep it all gunmetal and black. maybe two-tone the trailer with some of that gunmetal..
|
I think Brett was talking to the Adam with the LSV and not me with the Woody. Sorry about that. :)

Hey Adam R-
Did you do the Denali Front end swap yourself? I have a 2009 that I want to do it to. What all was needed? |
Dusty, I did do it myself with the help of a body shop friend. I'll be posting a build thread soon on GMFS forums listing all the part numbers and such. The total in parts was around $2500. Here is a quick list:
Hood Fenders Bumper Frame horns/bumper brackets Headlights Headlight supports Headlamp wiring connnectors Hood mouldings Grille Hood springs Rad core support Fender liners If you decide its something you want to pursue let me know and I'll do what I can to help. |
