Best lense for wakesurfing

I am just getting into photography and i was wondering what lenses are the best for wakesurfing?

Almost anything will work fine for wakesurfing since the rider isn't very far from the boat. The inexpensive kit lens that comes with most cameras (18-55) will work fine unless you want to step up to better optics. You don't need a $1000 lens to shoot great wakesurf pics.

I went for the Opteka 0.7 pro wide angle. Cost was $300 but........this wide angle does not have the typical distortion of cheap units. Pros: Perfect 180 degree shot for wakesurfing. Cons: Heavy.

Here's a link: http://opteka.com/OPTPS7XWA58.aspx

I mounted this on a new Canon XA10.

Here are a couple I took last night with a Canon 50D/Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. Granted there are a couple flashes popping here, but you get the concept of the lens.
