Has anyone used industrial non-skid tape on their boats? If you have, how well does it hold up? Are there brands to stay away from? I'm considering placing some where I step up to access the board racks and on the nose in case anyone boards from the front. Here's a link to some that I found: http://www.safewaytraction.com/GlowInTheDark.htm
http://www.afco-usa.com/safety_products.html
http://www.safewaytraction.com/BathtubShowerNonSlipSafetyTape.htm

its abrasive seems to me it would tear up your feet. or anything that may come in contact with it. why not gator grip?

That looks good. Not looking to invest that much yet. I had the kind from lowe's(abrasive)on my old ride, and it was a little hard on wet feet sometimes. Most of the stuff in the above links is non-abrasive...like the stuff in the bottom of a bathtub. I'm partial to the glow in the dark, matches the off-white gel coat in the daylight.

Just found gator on the net. Thought it was paint! Looks like the way to go. Thanks.

I got some of these at West marine and cut them in half. They work good in keeping me from landing on my arse while getting boards on and off, but don't catch on the line, skin or trunks when sliding across them.

(Message edited by greg__s on March 12, 2006)
