I skipped work yesterday to take advantage of the decent weather we started getting and got to try out a few new boards. After reading so many reviews I can finally contribute one. I bought the Absolute because of the reviews on this board and you didn't disappoint.

Overall I take the absolute. I found it to be a little looser than the Cobe. My buddy found them about equal but he has about 50-60 pounds on me. They both had great pop but the absolute wins by a bit. I found it to be a bit more bucky and I could pull more height with it. The cobe is a way faster board and I could set an edge a lot easier. You need to have good edging technique with the platinum to generate the speed. On landings, the absolute really shone. After riding it, landing the cobe felt like I just jumped off the roof of my house when I hit the water. It is unreal

Both nice boards but an easy decision to the best board I have been on yet, Absolute Plat 140.

I had my new Ultras on my new absolute and what a nice setup. The first few runs my feet didn't appreciate the new bindings much, but by the 4th run the new ultras were feeling great. If you require lots of ankle support I would say these aren't for you, but other than that they were great.
