noob

sup guys, just started wakeboarding last summer, totally hooked even though all I can do is stand up. I can go left, I ride left foot front and I cant go right. Is their any trick to this? Do I just lean into the water to go right or should I center my bindings more? Currently they are all the way back. Anything I could do to improve my form?

The way I taught my kids was this. You stand up onto your toes to go topside. Then you sit down(crouch more hanging your butt back) to cut heel side. Hard to explain but hope it helps.

Remember in wakeboarding it's right and left, it's toe side and heelside. Start by making sure your posture is correct when riding strait, little bit more weight on your back foot than front, chest out and arms strait. To get on your toeside edge your going to use your body as leverage with this correct posture instead of most beginners natural reaction to bend at the waist and hunch over there toes. As you slowly roll onto your toes keep that posture and look where your going and not at the boat. Start with slow movements it's easiest to practice this outside the wake if and when possible
Hope this helps, remember slow movements

Sorry meant "it's NOT right and left, it's toeside and heelside"

Another thing no one has addressed: center your boots on your board. It won't make a huge difference now but once you get into some beginner tricks like surface 180's you won't want your boots biased to either side
