I have no experience with the Malibu, driving or riding behind.
Both boats are in great shape but I tend to lean towards the Sanger.

What's your experience with the Malibu VLX.Bu has a vette motor, the Sanger,a Black Scorpion,

I have a '97 VLX and love it. I've also heard Sangers are very nice boats also. The malibu wake is more ramp, nice and smooth. The older malibu wake is a little less firm then the ones that came out with the sv23 wake hull, but is still a great ride.

It depend what your usage is.
The Sanger is a smaller package, easier to tow and weight but a little bit smaller in the cabin & much lower on the sides. The Sanger wake with the same weight will be bigger, harder and steeper but the VLX wake can be built to massive size if you are willing to put extra weight in it and has more of the "Pro" shape with long transitions and wide table. V210 will use about 1/2 the gas a VLX will when running heavy. Both great boats, The Sangers are built super solid like an old school nautique. I obviously prefer the Sanger but if I started out in a VLX I would probably be pumpin that hard too.
