I am looking @ buying one of these boats, both same color, $$$,and opts. any suggestions???
|
Yeah, demo both of them and then decide which one you like better. They are both good boats.

|
both great boats, does the xstar have more options or something? Cuz i'd think the newer SAN would be a lil more if all other things were equal
|
Aaron, Drive them and wakeboard behind them. You will find out that IMO the SAN TE has a better wake better contruction hold up better in every way, as well as having a better resale value. I would go with the SAN TE IMO... Good Luck

Aaron-

You need to check out my ride, it is in St. Louis. Stop by one night and look at it yourself.

Aaron,

I personally own a 2003 SANTE 210 Team Edition. This is my 2nd Nautique I traded up to the Team from the Sport Nautique model because my two daughters are getting really good at wakeboarding. I looked at both boats and the SANTE in my opinion is the better boat. First you have the 5 year waranty that no other boat company offers. Next the resale if you need to sell your boat is tops. It always seems someone always wants to buy your boat. Then you have the construction and gelcoat that Correct Craft uses... look at the finished product and also look at both boats when they are 2 years old. My boat is 18 months old and its in show room condition.... Correct Craft has been owned by the same family since day one and they treat you like family. If you are close to Orlando Florida stop in and visit the factory and talk to Southeast Correct Craft they have a first class dealership. I could have bought either boat and I went with the Nautiques. If you do you won't be sorry.... Good Luck!!!

Bla bla bla...

You can have a great or crappy eperience with any brand of boat. Mastercraft owners recommend Mastercraft boats and obviously Sante owners recommend sante boats. Xstar owners like the xstar wake better because its what there used to. Sante owners like the nautique wake because its what there used to.

Get a service history for both boats and make sure there not lemons. No service history - assume the boat has problems or hasn't been maintained.
|
Both are absolute pieces of junk. The MC is built by toothless Tennessee rednecks and the SAN Antonio TEam Edition is built by toothless Florida rednecks. With all the rave reviews they get here, I don't know why you don't just go out there and snag that Tige you been drooling over.

Seriously though, rootc is right. But don't let anyone tell ya that the Super SAN Bam has better resale value. The prices that you are looking at for each boat refutes that arguement entirely.

Whirlybird,
They are both great boats. I have to disagree with resale. Check NADA here is what I found.

2002
Length: 21'
Model Name/Description: TEAM EDITION
Boat Type: Inboard Boats
Hull Material: Fiberglass
Beam: 7' 7"
Engine: 1425 HPGasoline
Net Weight: 3,190
Low Retail: $31,740
Average Retail: $39,180

2002
X SERIES
Length: 21'
Model Name/Description: X-STAR
Boat Type: V-Drive Power Boat
Hull Material: Fiberglass
Beam: 7' 5"
Engine: 1330 HPGasoline
Net Weight: 3,050
Low Retail: $31,850
Average Retail: $39,320

(Message edited by john_d on March 17, 2004)

Where do I get the 1425 HP engine, or heck I would even settle for the 1330 HP engine.
|
Sure beats my 330 hp. Bet that's an expensive option.

1330 hp engine $80,000
|
Thats funny I didn't notice I copied it straight from NADA I wonder if it is 1 engine 425 horse.
|
The difference in the 02 SANTE and 02 X-Star is even more dramatic if you didn't spend the money on the engine upgrade for the SANTE.

I am as perplexed as everyone else. Correct Crafts have stopped holding their value. For what ever reason there are some extremely good deals out there on '02 and '03 SANTE--well for the buyer, not so much the seller...
|
Correct Craft's suck.

Mastercraft's Rule.
|
I'd go with the Super Air, which is not to say that the X-Star isn't a good boat. It's actually pretty damn similar...awesome wake and small interior.

The best thing to do is to demo, weighted and unweighted, and pick the one you liked best.

Aaron,
Save yourself 15K.
Get better warantee, better wake, more options.
Buy a Supra.
|
Haha save yourself 15K and ride behind a washed out wake on a Supra. I would go with the SAN TE, I have rode behind both boats and I love the wake on the SAN. If it was my money I would be towing a SAN TE home over a X-Star any day.
|
I guess I am in the minority here. I don't own either boat but have rode quite a bit behind both, the Natique is an '04 though. On the inside seem to be about the same. When I am riding behind them I feel very comfortable throwning Raleys behind the X-star. The 210 I have yet to land a Raley. Oh and the Natique we sometimes have problems getting the internal Ballast to fill. Just my 2 cents.

Skiing made me board,
Lyle
Chrome Dome Industries

(Message edited by sunsport on March 18, 2004)

(Message edited by sunsport on March 18, 2004)
