My wife Lara and I just got home after a week at The Boarding School. What an experience. Shaun, Travis and Kyle were so great. They were all so down to earth and helped us tremendously. We are basically beginners, but they treated us like one of the crew and were genuinely excited to see us accomplish the smallests of goals. We learned so much in our week with them. Riding doubles with Shaun was truly an amazing experience. First class accomadations made us feel right at home.
Thanks again! We'll be back for more!
Hank

Hank,

I'm thinking of going to the boarding school in February, but just for one day. Do you think it would be worth it for one day?

hdrew 10-22-2006 9:51 AM

Ryan,
Of course more is always better, but one is better than none. We had a friend who lives in FL join us for a day and he learned so much in that one day. So, I say yeah it is worth it. Go for it, have fun.
Hank

rmack 10-22-2006 2:22 PM

how were the rooms that you stayed in? I'm going to try to stay overnight the night before we ride.

hdrew 10-22-2006 2:49 PM

Great, there are 3 bedrooms 2 full baths, super clean house. Since it was my wife and I, we got the master bedroom that had a private bath.

nikki 10-22-2006 7:51 PM

I too stayed a week at TBS... Like you i felt like one of the crew.. So much fun! I'm going to try to get back there maybe next year.. That water spoiled me! I could go on and on about what a great experience it was but you already know!

bankssa 10-23-2006 12:24 PM

Travis and Shaun are a riot to hang out with.... and the riding is awsome... I've been to a couple camps and by far TBS is the best.....Heading back again this summer...

Ryan you can't imagine how fun it will be...

toesideturtle 10-23-2006 12:44 PM

Be careful! The boarding school is like crack! One day there and you're hooked. You'll be digging in the trash for cans, working overtime, maybe even pimpin yourself out---anything to save enough pennies to get JUST ONE MORE DAY! (wish I could buy a membership) Whether it be 1, 5 or 10 days, your riding will improve--go have fun!
PS. don't eat the beef jerky!

hdrew 10-23-2006 12:59 PM

Ahhh, we missed the jerky but heard all about it.

wakechick418 10-23-2006 1:06 PM

My BF and I have spent our vacation at TBS for the past 4 years. We always have an amazing time and have learned so much while meeting great friends. We actually met Chuck there & have ridden with him the past 2 yrs. Hey Chuck!

lmtwa 10-23-2006 2:54 PM

HEY! the beef jerky is great!! ....

nj_alex 10-23-2006 3:46 PM

I was there in the early days, which must have been the pre-jerky days. But I did meet Murray the Elder!
I had a great time at The Boarding School and I hope to eventually get back there!

lmtwa 10-23-2006 6:50 PM

I remember that... good times....
L

Thanks for all the kind words. It's good to know ya'll think we are doing things right. The awesome thing is that we have as much fun as you guys.

Charlie, we are located on a chain of lakes in St. Cloud, which is 25 minutes southeast of Orlando International Airport. Email me if you have any questions.

And, I don't have a lot of pics on my home computer, but here is one of Shaun and I just chillin' in between sets.

driving 11-12-2006 4:48 AM

Sorry, the pic is too big, and I have no idea how to make them smaller.

byrd 11-12-2006 7:16 AM

You can resize it if you want to with a photo program, but usually if its just one or two pics, I'll email them to my email address and let Outlook Express do the work. When you go to send them, it will ask you if you want to make them smaller

solo 11-12-2006 9:19 AM

Travis is on the information super highway in a 76 pinto with blown head gaskets. Get with the program Trav....

You can also use paint which is included on any pc.

7890303 11-12-2006 9:26 AM

LOL, 76 pinto....thats funny. good one Hahn

driver_dad 11-12-2006 12:00 PM

Thanks Travis...we're just outside of Destin in the panhandle (where the water was still 74 degrees yesterday!) so only about 6 hours or so from you. Do you have a website?

driving 11-12-2006 3:31 PM

I know, I know...I need to tighten up my computer skills, but I have a buddy that handles all of that for me.

And, Charlie, the site is www.theboardingschool.com

briand 11-15-2006 7:46 AM

Man, I cant wait to go! One more exam then to Orlando and The Boarding School. I have only heard great things about you and Shaun.

briand 11-25-2006 4:23 PM

Hey guys. Shaun and Travis, I had a great time. I hope I can go back! Also, watching you ride was amazing. Me and my dad were astounded. The boat and driver(s) were amazing, much better than I was used too. Thanks for the great time guys.
