My boat is at 200 hours and I want do do the service, I already did the impeller 2 days ago because it burned out. Acording to my manuel im supposed to do an oil change (including filter), v-drive fluid, ballast pump impellers, it also says fuel filter but to not perform it yourself, is it hard to do, is it necessary? Also my spark plugs have a little rust on them (salt water) should i just change them out too? Who here does their own servicing? Where can I buy the penzoil oil, vdrive fluid and filters for mastercraft, also where can i buy the ballast impelleers.

I got my new style impellers from the dealer. Make sure you get the new yellow ones as the material is greatly improved. I'm sure they're available from an aftermarket supplier, but my dealer had them in stock. <BR> <BR>I wouldn't worry about using the Penzoil unless you really want to stick with the factory recomendation for some reason. Any good oil of the same weight will work. I used Valvoline semi-synthetic in my '05 X2. It worked great. <BR> <BR>Check the spark plugs. An auto parts shop should be able to cross reference them with the numbers from the plug. If they are platinum I wouldn't worry about changing them till around 4-500 hours. They last a long time. If they aren't, then I'd go ahead and change them. Make sure the replacement plugs are marine (stainless steel) or you'll have major rust problems in a salt environment. <BR> <BR>Other than that... All my filters came from my Master Craft dealer. They were a bit more pricey, but not bad. My engine oil filters only ran $8 for a OEM one. <BR> <BR>Not sure on the V-drive oil. Check your service manual for fluid type. Shouldn't be anything special.
