so we made our own rope out of a old climbing rope with a nice PVC 1-hand handle and large knots to climb up to the sweet spot. Well, we are learning and don't always get up on the first try. Long story short the line streches, builds tension, and wack right into my back when the rider does not get up. Not fun or worth the $50 savings. So which surf rope? I was looking at the liquid force rope with t-handle $50. Is that a nice rope that will not build tension? Any suggestions?

im a big fan of the straight line surf rope/handle. it has a thinner line then other brands so its not heavy and doesnt splash around if the slack drops down. its just a lot easier to hold the slack.

Inland Surfer or Helium.

+1 on the IS or Helium rope ( I think they're the same?). Metal T-handles have a tendency of damaging boards ..

I vote for the Helium handle. I think the IS is pretty close to that too.

how bout the ronix??

trash4life 07-22-2009 11:08 AM

Don't get the Ronix. I just bought one and haven't liked it. The handle is too light so when you try to throw it in the boat you either have to throw so hard you loose your balance or it lands short.

I have an accurate, and an inland surfer rope. Both are great. I like the ability to adjust length easy on inland, but I REALLY like rubber handles along the accurate to choke up on. So if one combined the other, that would be my rope. I think the accurate wins out for me with the rubber "choke up" handles.

http://www.boardstop.com/product_info.php?products_id=835&ref=35

T-handle all the way. You dont want to fall and have your arm go through the handle. At slow speeds it is much more possible than wakeboarding/skiing.
