Goof Off or Goo Gone for carpet glue?
 

I am trying to get some left over carpet glue off of fiberglass in our bow and am wondering what is the best way to get it off? Any suggestions?
I was told Goof Off or Goo Gone but I read that one of those can melt plastic?

I would try mineral spirits. We use it to clean glue off of commercial carpet which is either nylon or olefin, recycled water/soda bottles. Always test it to be sure though.
