So I was just curious on everyones thoughts about this board.. Everything I read says soft landings which I understand, since it has mad width and the vtec, but what confuses me is that is says "huge pop". However, It has a continuous rocker. It just doesnt seem like it would have near the pop of a three stage, but thats why am asking... according to the wakeside chart it looks to be more of a into the flats board, but the discription talks about trevor effortlessly being able to boost a back 5 eight feet high because of the pop. Right now I am on a 07 lute and am very happy with, just curious your thoughts. Thanks guys

(Message edited by lyle on June 13, 2007)

I haven't ridden a Marius, but from what I understand the majority of the pop comes from the great width of the board.
I love it!!! I have it on my myspace if you go into my profile and click on the link. I dont know if the 08 can hold up to the 07 IMo

I added a little to original post

For a continuous board the Marius has a noticeable kick off the wake. It is so wide that is just launches. It will ride a lot different than the 'lute. It has more kick than any other continuous board out there. The V-tech allows it to still be manueverable because if it carried all that width and had a flat bottom it would not turn or keep the tail engaged in the water.
what about fins, I ride my absolute finless. I see on the board that the molded fins are pretty small, and so far apart (because of the width). I was just curious if it would be too loose.
I ride the marius finless. Its superloose. (PERFECT) I just rode the roam and I sucked on that. so the marius def. has more grip
yeah because the marius is so wide, it allows it to not only have massive pop, but softer landings.

a great combination.
Just wondering, but out of all the CWB boards, which one do you guys think has the highest pop?
probably whatever rider has the best technique
transend platty has the most pop
be careful with the plattys though, my friend got one last week and it snapped in half monday
Ive broke 2 this year but they are great with warrenty.
I've never broke one in the two years I've been riding platinums.
Heavy - Have you ridden a 3DS? I would be willing to say it boots just as much if not more than a Marius...which you mentioned had the most pop of any continuous rocker board. I demoed both and bought the 3DS. No worries, just curious if you had been on one.

I agree with Roddyrod, pop has more to do with the rider than anything else.
CWB Kicks A$$ but the marius feels like a huge a$$ block under my feet. Has anyone ridden one on a windy day and done a raily. The board feels like a freakin parachute catching wind. Not a fan it has great pop and landings but lacks manueverability. IMO for spinning inverts it just takes a little more effort than a board with a LITTLE less surface area
I have indeed and felt it had nowhere near the pop of the Marius. Pop certainly has to do with the rider and I prefer an aggressive 3 stage, the Marius & continuous don't work for my style.
The wind was really blowing hard this day. So now I understand. The wind got under the board and because of the short shorts lack of drag Tony went higher then the riders on the other boards
