About to buy a 04 malibu vlx wanted to know what people think about the boat and the wake. I heard it is the same boat as the new v rides. So any input would help

Same hull as the vRide. Base options are much different. Whats on the boat?

as far as i know the hull in the 04 is the same as the v-rides. however, in 05 they went with a new hull that throws a bigger wake. either way, a malibu is legit

My 04 VLX has been a great boat and the wake has always been fun. Its up for sale on Only Inboards if you are still looking (let me know). I didnt want to sell, but this housing crash thing is tearing up my finances!

500# each side in rear, 500# in ski locker, 400# in walkway and it is an awesome wake without the wedge!

Great boat. One of the top 2 I've owned. Full Ballast + Wedge (watch it, cause if its the 4 bolt, it will break) +lead - 200 in each trunk + 200 middle + 400 in the nose. Could go even more but that was always enough. GREAT BOAT!! <BR> <BR>Sold mine for 40 with every option you can imagine (and then some) if you are shopping. (Extra props, extended warranty, and all.)

if you can spring for an 05, i thikn that is a better hull. <BR> <BR>But if not, the 04 is a good boat

Billy - high speed chase through a no wake zone. Cop wasnt thrilled with me. Funny part is, I was throwing no wake and she was mad because she was stuck 5 boats behind me and I just didnt see her until the last minute.
