quick release tower bolts?

Hey everyone.

I just bought a 2008 Calabria team-V and I'm going to be folding the tower down every weekend to park it in the garage.

The current tower bolts require an allan wrench but it strips out easily.

Where would be a good place to purchase the quick release knob bolts?

Matt,

I used to drop my tower every ride to tuck the boat up into my hoist's canopy. I bought two bicycle "axle skewers" from a local bike shop, cut them down and threaded the shaft again. these are the "quick release" style found on many bikes today.

Cost me 10 bucks!

Matt, do you have any pictures?? Jet

im in the same boat so to speak. Looking for some sort of quick release on the front two pillars of my tower, unscrewing them each time is getting old fast!

Maybe something as simple as a bolt with a bit knob on the end that you can hand crank?

Not trying to hijack the thread.

Matt,

I've found a couple options at DIYwake.com.

10x30mm soft grip bolt/knob.

Here is a quick release pin for their tower feet kits. Would this work for you?

MalibuMatt. How do you like your Pro-V so far?

malibumatt 05-19-2010 9:46 AM

Great. I bought it, put in storage and have been watching it rain ever since. I store it about 40 miles form me in the winter then it will sit in the driveway during the summer. Going to PM you some questions.
