Some time back I had posted about problems with my DHM trailer's paint. I had sent George @ DHM the photo below. He told me to drop it off and he would take a look at it and see what he could do.

I droped it off to have the paint fixed and get some upgrades at the same time.
1. New crash pad's
2. Ugraded prop cage wheel's. I have the metal rollers on the cage now. Im getting the large caster style wheels added.
3. Re carpet the V-pad.
4. Add the spair tire holder at the back.
5. Paint the trailer.
6. Retractable tie down strap's

George @ DHM said he would take care of me on the paint (no charge) IMO thats awesome. Im still gonna drop like $700 on the extras but I think its great that time after time take care of what ever happens.

sweet deal. what do you mean spare tire at the back?
|
They put a bracket under the rear of the trailer to hold a spare. Slides under next to the prop cage
|
Grant, go full bling and just buy a boxed trailer...C channel is for bayliners
|
Yea the Boxed trailer sure looks better. Im fine with the C-channel. I tryed not to get sucked into having a pimped out trailer. When out on water who cares what kind of trailer you have.
Harolds trailer is so clean and scratch/chip free it makes his whole boat look so much nicer thats what gave me the bug.
|
is there any particular reason you want it in the back? on my extreme it's underneath the helm where it's not as noticeable.
|
Yea I have seen the spair tire holder underneath the helm. Its a great location. When they build the trailer they design that into the build. The center rail is lower strung so the tire holder is in a diffrent location. Im not sure that would work on my trailer.

BTW: while at DHM I did see that they now have the Large roller wheel's that mount to your prop cage. Via bolt on. They made the braket so that it will bolt onto your prop cage

I hope the tire does not make the trailer float
|
I have found the only thing that makes the trailer float is when you forget to take the tiedown straps off the back and the front is still connected. Woop's been there done that
