I just want to get an idea of how those of you with wakesetters are weighting down your boat. The stock wake is fun, but I usually throw a 300lb sack in the bow and a 300lb sack on the floor by the back seat and it throws a really fun wake.

What are you guys running in your wakesetters to get a nice lip on the wake?

I run full MLS with bow tank, 150 in lead in bow, 300 lb sac in walkway and another 250 in lead dispersed throughout. The last couple of weeks we have tried putting two 300 lb sacs in the back storage lockers and it was too ass heavy. We had to move a bunch of peeps to the bow. Wakesetters need weight in the front.

depends on what year you're riding. different hulls require different weight.

My friends 04, we put all the stock weight plus about 750 in the front, and an extra 300 in each locker. no wedge. it's nice. VLX's need more weight in the front.

i have the 05 vride, (04 vlx hull), i usually have wedge down with stock ballast, an extra 75 in each rear compartment, and usually about 8 people and the wake is just massive, yesterday i had 9 people in the boat with the 75's in the back and no stock ballast and the wake got steeper, i loved it.

I have an 07, if that makes a difference... I think tomorrow I'll try throwin the sack up front and in the walkway and see what happens.

trevor, I run an '06 hull, same as yours.

we run full front, mid and rear MLS without wedge.
about 450-500 lead in the nose and a sac in each rear locker 400-500 lbs in each one depending how many people are and no wedge.

I've tried using less in the extra rear sacs and using the wedge, it gets more of a lip on it, probably 100-200 extra in each rear sack with the wedge down. I don't do that unless we're draining/filling for beginners because I don't like the way the boat drives with the wedge down. Feels like the rear of the boat gets pulled all over and I'm fighting it as the driver.
