Wake Island Wake Park- NorCalifornia
 

Hey guys and girls~

The northern CA wake park is a few weeks away from opening. Wake Island Watersports is there facebook name so jump on and check it out when you get a chance and im sure they will be updating it here and there.
Its a top notch facility, has an island down the center to keep water good, a full five tower Sesitec System, a System 2.0 on its own lake, and another seperate lake for paddle boarding and other relaxed activities.
Nole and hsi wife (the owners), Anton and the gang running things there are super nice and excited to get things under way as they wrap some things up in the next few weeks hopefully.

Cant wait to ride this place soon! Get stoked everybody the West Coast is fianlly gone have a full cable!

I heard October 18th is grand opening

I'm so friggin pumped for this. As soon as they're open I'm driving up from LA. Will they be open through the winter?

12-15 mins from my house gonna be shredding my face off once my knee heals up!

I can't wait for this! I heard that they will only be open this year until the end of November, BOO! My birthday is on the weekend of Dec. 1st and I was going to spend my time on the cable. Looks like I'm gonna have to wait until spring.

Any word out there on when they'll actually open for sure? Is it really Oct 18th?

An operator was nice enough to answer a few questions for us. No big details, but it's exciting stuff.

Any word on when his place is opening? It's kinda weird that they don't even really have a web presence like a website or even a decent facebook page with updates.........that I know of.

Their Facebook is decent enough. Their website directs straight to the Facebook page for now. They have been keeping people up to date on the obstacles, cable progress and have told people many times that once they have a solid open date they will let their Facebook followers know. From what they've said they are working hard to get everything dialed before they open.

What's a bummer is that they will only be open till the end of November. Considering I was planning on being there on Dec 1st and 2nd, that stinks. I really wish they could be open till Dec 3rd. Still, I'm pumped on having a cable close enough to be able to get there and back in a day.

The place looks insane! Why can't this happen in Socal? I wonder it the county will shut him down saying its an amusement park like they did in Desert Wake, he still hasn't reopened and may not.

I think if this one opens then it will set a good precedent for the ones in SoCal.

It's ridiculous that the state doesn't recognize it as a "sport". I do think desert wakes grand plans for all the other bs other than a cable shot them in the foot regarding the amusement park thing.....

Too bad we're heading into winter:( Really hoping to get some laps at wake island soon.

kinda bummed was hoping to get some time in this year ...

Got to shred there last Sat as well. The owner graciously invited the NorCal Faction CWB team out. Was a blast and we greatly appreciated it. The next 5 months are going to be some of the longest months ever while we wait till April when it will open
