I just found a fresh picture of the 2010 Vandall board and bindings. Thought I would share it here.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/727539.jpg" alt="Upload">

homedawg678 08-20-2009 7:55 AM

I saw that too, but look at the hole patterns,... <BR> <BR>Is that not a true flex board ?

jarrod 08-20-2009 8:00 AM

That doesn't look like a flex to me at all.

lives2wake 08-20-2009 8:14 AM

It looks like it might have a flex pattern on the outside of the feet. I'm thinking the ridges in the nose and tail would prevent most of the flex but there isn't anything by the bindings. <BR> <BR>Wonder why they changed the binding holes?

jarrod 08-20-2009 8:17 AM

He probably got tired of the flex board absorbing his pop! lol

lives2wake 08-20-2009 8:26 AM

That's what I was thinking J-Rod. I'm interested in seeing how this board rides. New construction technologies without as much flex...

toby_yeo 08-20-2009 8:28 AM

company isnt just about flex guys...

jarrod 08-20-2009 9:07 AM

I know I know....I was just poking fun.

wakesurf12 08-20-2009 9:11 AM

Apparently it has flex, it is a bit stiffer than normal "flex" boards but in the center (or the tail, I cannot remember) it is supposed to kind of "recoil" off the wake.

xistential 08-20-2009 9:22 AM

Nicola got her pro model board yesterday as well. Looks really cool.

jarrod 08-20-2009 9:29 AM

Let's see it!

guido 08-20-2009 10:07 AM

That's a great looking board. I like the bindings a lot, too.

stephan 08-20-2009 10:11 AM

Good to see Company holding true to their word. I was bummed when the new gear came out last year and it was just tweaked Slingshot stuff. They said things would be different and here it is!! Congrats to JS and the gang. <BR> <BR>Also, those boots look awesome. Well done! I'm guessing they changed the binding holes to be in line with their product development versus what Slingshot was doing. Good for them.

<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/727675.jpg" alt="Upload"> the new severance board and boot

homedawg678 08-20-2009 11:06 AM

Looks like that's the Recruit looking at the "uit 135"

snwmot 08-20-2009 11:11 AM

Actually Jordan that's the severance. Vandalls board does have sone flex but it's different than the recruit or severance it's a bit more rigid. Also company isn't all about flex theyre a wakeboard company not a flexboard company.

jordanrs 08-20-2009 11:27 AM

my bad that is the recruit thats what i meant

wakemitch 08-20-2009 11:35 AM

urethane sidewalls and in the fins holes. mmmm

snwmot 08-20-2009 11:43 AM

digging those velcro (hook n loop tape) Vandal boots. but still a little sad the 4 hole is gone.

08-20-2009 6:20 PM

Saw a few pics of Nicola's board and couldn't tell if it is a new shape? Anybody know?

wakerider111 08-20-2009 6:38 PM

yes <BR>looks a little like a severance with canneling and maybe some concave(s) maybe <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/727770.jpg" alt="Upload">

xistential 08-20-2009 7:10 PM

"Saw a few pics of Nicola's board and couldn't tell if it is a new shape? Anybody know?" <BR> <BR>Meant to be. Her and Greg Necrasson worked on it.Greg mostly.Nicola was consulted all the way. Most womans boards are just renamed models of something the board company they already have on the market. I saw it yesterday and she was meant to ride it but a thunderstorm put paid to that and it is now at Expo.Otherwise I would post some pics. <BR> <BR>She will probably be riding it at Worlds.

anthemwake 08-20-2009 7:13 PM

Company's got my favorite graphics so far this year. Nicola's board looks so sick...

08-20-2009 7:13 PM

thanks chris! post pics when you get a chance please!

xistential 08-20-2009 7:19 PM

Jessica - Saturday unless somebody beats me to it.

cheesydog 08-20-2009 11:52 PM

Hell yea that looks sick! That vandall setup is so damn nice, dont know if I could move off the severance shape, I love it too much but those bindings.. oh yea <BR> <BR>And back to a 2 hole system, im of 2 minds about that, its definitely a lot easier than the 4 hole system but theres no way it can give you as much lockdown

dakid 08-20-2009 11:54 PM

now that randall's board is stiffer, i'm tempted to check it out!

jsweat 08-21-2009 7:03 AM

randall's board and bindings look so sick. i wonder what the price is going to look like.

sidekicknicholas 08-21-2009 7:37 AM

^^Joe, say it isn't so !

bizz 08-21-2009 9:01 PM

We loved the 4 hole pattern, but we would have never left the 4 hole pattern if we weren't able to make things better and even more locked down...You'll have to see for yourself!

adam_balon 08-22-2009 2:06 AM

wow amazing justin and co. cant wait to see everything.

jordanrs 08-27-2009 1:23 PM

is there only 2 boots in the line or is there more? there looked like more

jordanrs 08-27-2009 1:25 PM

oh and chris did you get any more pics to post?

bizz 08-27-2009 2:39 PM

Jordan, <BR> <BR>We have 4 models for 2010. The Recruit Series (continuous Rocker), The Severance Series (3 Stage Rocker), The Wild Child (Nicola's Pro Model) and the Vandall (Randall Harris's Pro Model). <BR> <BR>We should have full color images up on our web site before to long. Keep your eyes out for them to show up.

wakeborder5 08-27-2009 2:59 PM

Justin, post up some pictures details on the baseplate now!

cheesydog 08-27-2009 7:12 PM

does the vandall have bottom features ala the LF hybrids?

wakeslife 08-27-2009 8:28 PM

Bizz, how can you not say the Severance is now Santori's pro model when his name is on it?!

bizz 08-27-2009 9:21 PM

Sorry. The Severance is now Tino's pro model, and rightfully so since he designed it. We did change some minor things in the core for this year however. <BR> <BR>The Vandall does have bottom features. V hull through the center with extra channels in the tip and tail. The fins sit in the channels angling the fins at a 5 degree angle. <BR> <BR>Hope this helps. <BR> <BR>Justin is studio shooting the product this week. Look for images soon.

These are all preliminary images, fresh from the camera about 2 hours ago...They need a little color correction and clipping in order to tighten things up, but we wanted to at least give you a little peak of what's coming down the pipeline. Hi-5!

cheesydog 08-28-2009 12:49 AM

very nice! I wonder how the vandall would be as a cable board, hmm...

adam_balon 08-28-2009 1:01 AM

wow.

roy_munson 08-28-2009 5:37 AM

wow! the insert holes on the bindings are fixed in on different measurements. this looks like it woudl provide a much better lift elimination. good idea, company!

thank you

deltawakerider 08-28-2009 1:26 PM

Kduff-company will have an OT boot this year...so give CO. a go...

liquidplayground 08-28-2009 1:42 PM

The product looked really polished and dialed in at Expo. Not only are they cranking out some serious product but the passion and vibe they have are tops as well. Pumped on the addition of Schmaltz( = perfection), keep up the great work!

bizz 08-28-2009 2:15 PM

Yep we are offering an Open Toe boot as well so we got you covered. It is on the same plate system for unlimited stance options and insane heel hold down. <BR> <BR>Thanks for the kind words Austin. Stoked to see Company in the Liquid Playground.

wakerider111 08-28-2009 6:16 PM

Everyone has been asking how the new 2010 Freedom Interface System works, so I just whipped something out really quick so that everyone can get a quick peek. We will be putting together a legit clinic video series on everything, but for now this is just meant to be quick and fun...Hi-5! <BR> <BR>Click here for the video... <a href="http://www.vimeo.com/6333168" target="_blank">http://www.vimeo.com/6333168</a>

Chris, <BR> <BR>"The Wild Child" (Nicola's Pro Model) comes in two sizes: a 131 and a 134. The white board is the 131 and the black is the 134.

Thanks. <BR> <BR>Severance looks sick!!!!!

jlward1 09-02-2009 12:20 AM

I wish the Severance 138 came in the green color. Also I'm curious to how the new binding system is going to stay tight and not slide around at all. It looks awesome and I'm sure you took that into consideration but could you explain it in a little more detail?

boarderpat 09-02-2009 4:43 AM

Severance Looks AMAZING!!!! When can we expect to see them available in stores?!?

kcrider 09-02-2009 7:31 PM

Hey Company did you use the same bottom base (slider base) as last year or did you put a different base on the bottom? I loved the severance but I need a more slider friendly bottom. I felt it "stuck" to the rails a little more than the slingshots and LF Grinds. Other than that it was a SICK riding board. Loved almost everything about it.

company 09-02-2009 11:25 PM

Lucas (jlward1): <BR>The new system is LOCKED IN. There are these little inter-locking teeth on the inside of the clamp, and the plate, that lock into each-other once fully tightened. (Quite a bit more teeth than what other systems in the industry use that work solid, so were DIALED.) <BR> <BR>Patrick Phoenix (boarderpat): <BR>Sooner than later...Sooner than later...We're ahead of schedule compared to last year, so were stoked! <BR> <BR>TS (kcrider): <BR>We actually shared the same base material as Slingshot for 2009. We just didn't name it anything. We are using the same material this year as well for 2010 because we had great success with it. We have been looking into some new materials as well more specifically for jibbing, but until we're confident it will melt everyone's brains we're going to hold off until we have it dialed... <BR> <BR>Werd! <BR>Co Crew

cheesydog 09-15-2009 7:35 PM

hey company, I'm pretty interested in using the Vandall as my cable board. One question what are the fins made of? <BR> <BR>The one issue I had with my severance at cable this year was the fins catching on obstacles and then ripping the board, the fins were actually too strong! Instead of just breaking off, they actually broke the board. <BR> <BR>I know Sine has some kind of flexy fin which sounds awesome, just wondering what the vandall will be using.

torontothunder 09-15-2009 8:17 PM

I bought a 142 Company Severance about four months ago...I was out riding a few weeks back and the top sheet cracked after a hard fall. I emailed the guys at company and they mailed me a replacement board in 4 days! I couldn't believe it. That was the best customer service I have ever experienced! That's how you make loyal customers. I'm Stoked to try out the 2010 bindings! <BR> <BR>Thanks Company! <BR> <BR>(Message edited by TorontoThunder on September 15, 2009)

wakerider111 09-15-2009 9:17 PM

looks like the fins are made of G10 Fiberglass <BR> <BR>"Pro Fins - Only the best materials available are used on our signature series of boards and it doesn’t stop at the fins. The Vandall and Nicola boards use the finest fin material available, G10 Fiberglass. Extremely durable, these will hold up to even the harshest abuse. Oh ya, they’re repairable too!" <BR><a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/boardguide/getboard11.asp?ProductID=5269" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/boardguide/getboard11.asp?ProductID=5269</a> <BR> <BR>also, people on this thread have been saying that from the looks of things (pic at top) the fin holes have that red-colored 95A Urethane material lining the inside that is used in the sidewalls? <BR> <BR>stokemeter's lunchtime product show of Company 2010 gear <BR><a href="http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/2086839" target="_blank">http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/2086839</a> <BR> <BR>As for Sine, I know that they have said the current model was designed for wake riding and not rail riding... in a sense that there is no warranty for sliders. But apparently there are some that are using it at the park and are loving it. Sine is working on bringing out slider/cable park board for 2010 that is supposed to have some kind of a warranty for sliders. their patent pending flex fin ought to be a great addition <BR> <BR>stokemeter's lunchtime product show of Sine <BR><a href="http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/2098206" target="_blank">http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/2098206</a>
