I want to plumb two Fly High V Drive Fat sacks into the stock MLS Ballast System on a 2007 Malibu. Can someone recommend which connections I should buy, and whether I should T off the Fill Pump, or just loop into the overflow, and drain hoses. Thanks! <BR> <BR>Also, I heard the quick connects can fail, so I am looking for an alternative, Thanks!

My friend just hooked up some fly high x series sacs and he went to lowes and found an adapter in the plumbing section that would screw into the bag. One end screwed in to the bag and the other was fitted for a flexible hose. hope that helps

Here's what I did. Threaded hose barb and a rubber grommet. Also used Teflon tape on the threads. check wakeside or the like for their quick dosconnet fittings. No doubt that the above would work but for the extra 15-20 bucks easy removal for end of season drying etc. is awesome...

James, both of the ways you are looking into plumbing your sacs will work. <BR>The fittings that you will want to use are not found at the hardware store. <BR> <BR>You can find fittings at the harware store that will screw into our sacs but it is not an exact fit and we DO NOT guarantee that the connection will not leak. <BR> <BR>Give me a call and I can go over in detail which Pro X Series fitting I would recommend and guarantee. <BR>414-964-3668

James, I found some nylon fittings at Home Depot that match the thread pattern of the Fly High bags. These are not in the normal PVC section, but more in specialty valves and fittings (plumbing section). Look for a 3/4" MIP ADAPTER on the threaded end. The one I got is made by WATTS. <BR> <BR>I will be using Fly High QD fittings for some of my connections but not all.

Take the fill line off the stock tank and attach it to the top of the sac. Screw a ballast pump into the bottom conection of the sac and run a new line back into the tank where the fill originally was attached. Leave the overflow line alone(it works fine as it above the level of the sack). I used the power off of my shower to energize the pumps(with secondary on/off switches for issolation purposes). This works great---turn on you factory switches to fill, as the bags start to fill, turn on the shower--thus filling the bottom tanks. Same thing to drain, just watch the sacs--if one empties before the other, turn off that pump with the secondary on/off switch. I fill and drain the rear in the same tome it takes to fill/drain the center ballast. Works really well without getting wet. I also run lead in the bow and under the seats. The wake is great and we stay dry and warm while filling during the winter.

There are multiple ways of plumbing in the fly high sacs. None are wrong. I would imagine they will all work somewhat well. Just make sure the sacs don't fill until your hard tanks are completely full. Don't want to make your hard tank into a soft tank. Give Chris at FlyHigh a call. He knows what he is talking about.

James <BR>I used the shower switch in the dash to power the pumps on the bags. That way I can fill everything from the drivers seat without adding a switch.

I used the Shurflo pumps(same as used in the factory MLS--and cheap online) so my rear hard tanks fill at the same time as the Fly High sacks above them. The hard tanks are much smaller and fill completely long before the sacks above them have enough weight in them to worry. I run the 400lbs. sacks with zero problems and know people running the 750lbs sacks without issues as well.

While we're on this subject, I'm looking to plumb some flyhigh 750's into the rear compartments of an 06 X-star and have a few questions. First off, does someone have a diagram of the stock plumbing? I haven't had a chance to get inside the boat and check it out first hand. Next, how do you set up the hoses and check valves? I think I could figure it out if I had a diagram, but it would be nice to see how others have done it. Thanks.
