wakejunky 08-15-2003 6:57 AM

Just finished up my latest project on the boat. I made a sub box for the area between the driver's seat and the rear seat of my 03' SAN. Doubled my cup holder capacity and I now have wrap around seating like the older SA's. Took a bit of work but, managed to get 1.5 cu. feet total for .75 on two sealed sub drivers. Running the Dayton Quatro drivers which have a recommended .35 cu. ft. sealed box. Carpeted the thing and then ordered a seat cushion from CC.

Check out the pics.

Chris
No Slip Gator Grip
www.wakejunky.com

That Look's real good. What do you think it cost you to do the whole thing excluding the drivers,
What carpet did you use it looks like it matches perfect. It also looks like you used fiber glass resin to cover the MDF?

Mine's at West Coast now. You can start it next, Nice job.

wakejunky 08-15-2003 12:37 PM

Hey Guys,

Grant: I used a single sheet of 3/4" MDF, about 16oz of Resin, 4 cup holders and scrap carpet from the shop, cushion from CC. Mind you I work for CC so, I got the cushion at cost so, I'm into it for about $170.

Cup holders are completely separate from the sub boxes. I put a separate chamber just for the cup holders so, they are not part of the 1.5 cu. foot sub chamber.

Chris
No Slip Gator Grip
www.wakejunky.com

Chris,

Nice installation, looks great. Your occupation says engineer and you said you work for CC. Are you an} engineer for CC?

Chris, How does your SAN pull with the Lance? Which model of camper is that, a 920? We're still in a short bed 825 and like it although it is small with four.

wakejunky 08-17-2003 2:32 AM

Long story short but, I'm actually an out of work Test Engineer who is working at West Coast Correct Craft.
I have a Lance 2000 Lance 1120 a bit big for the SRW setup but, I've made enough mods to the truck's suspension and drivetrain to not worry about it too much.

Chris
No Slip Gator Grip
www.wakejunky.com
