Gas can tube/nozzle fell into gas tank

My 5 gallon gas can had an extended tube on the nozzle and it slipped off and into the boat's gas tank. We tried fishing it out but no luck. We still rode all day with no problems. Anyone have a similar experience? Is it much of a concern? Thanks in advance.

Pull the sending unit for the gas gauge and it should be pretty easy to get out. Frankly, it may not cause you any problems but it would bug me knowing it is in there knocking around..............

I doubt it made it into the tank. Unless it's a straight shot to the tank, with no turns at all.

There should be a hose clamp under the gunnel, and one one the tank. I'll bet if you take the fill hose off, it's still in there.
