Suggestions for sub 19' wakeboat under 5k

I am on a lake that is super strict and the max size is 19'. I really want a v-drive but I guess a direct drive will work. Any suggestions for a 19' vdrive that throws a macking tube and kneeboard wake?

Have u looked into an MB?

:p :D

I think those are 19'6". I wonder if I could cut the nose off? I have wicked good duct tape skills.

If you can't find one, buy one of these. Tons of room for sacs for a huge wake. And it's only 12', just to b safe!

You may have to fight wakeboard guy for it tho. Paint mastercraft on side and it can b a x star

Check this out..Baja was one of the innovators in huge wakes. You can ride this thing at 30 mph @ 100 feet.

polarbill 07-25-2013 7:57 PM

I wonder if I can clear the wake at 90'?

Well I just was able to petition the lake and theysaid it had to be over 24ft and now I have an 80k budget. Anyone have an idea ?

Natique 2001 (Mid-80s). You can find plenty under $5K if you'll turn a wrench. One of my favorite slow speed short line wakes!

You may have to look into an i/o. There's plenty on the market with towers and if you can find one with a V8 you'll have plenty of HP to drop in some ballast. Even a newer fuel injected 4.3 L will give you enough ponies to put in 1000-1500 lbs, play with your trim and you can get a decent enough wake to do 3's, basic inverts, and still have a great time.

Buy a good v-drive and cut a foot off the nose. Make it look like Epic or other pickle fork. I bet a good glass guy could do it for a K or2

Here's an XStar that I saw for sale. Guy said he added ballast system and wrap. He's probably got at least $5000 in man hours on this one... Might make him an offer?

Dmac420sj 07-26-2013 12:34 PM

^^^How would you weight that x star and what speed and line length would be best?also if I got a pair of rev 10 for it what amp would be best?

bryce2320 07-26-2013 12:52 PM

I'd look at exile and sony explode

07-26-2013 1:00 PM

wow, a remote control xstar with ballast. someone has way too much time on their hands. haha

craigtxmc 07-26-2013 1:30 PM
