hahaha did you see him once he got past the line yesterday? I was amazed. That poor guy he tossed aside is gonna hate watching the game film this week lol

polarbill 09-14-2009 11:39 AM

Cliff, you gotta give him a little more credit than that. The speed, power and vision he runs with is amazing. He has an unbelievable ability to cut while accelerating like nobody else in football.

polarbill 09-14-2009 11:52 AM

Holy crap, I didn't see his big run until just now. He donkey punched like 3 guys on that run. He is beyond good. If he ever learns to catch the ball out of the backfield and pass block he will be the MVP every year. As is if he stays healthy he will go down as the best "pure running" running back ever. <BR> <BR>It would suck so bad to be a Safety trying to make a 1 on 1 tackle on him. You wouldn't know if he was going to just run you over like a train, stiff arm you to your back or break your ankle and make you look silly. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by polarbill on September 14, 2009) <BR> <BR>(Message edited by polarbill on September 14, 2009)

^ The Vikes look really good.... and if Harvin can stop dropping balls Favre is going to have a killer season. <BR> <BR> <BR>The Pack didn't look great but got their win... really didn't seem to be firing at 100% til the end of the game, but the 4th Quater they looked good.... the defense looked awesome.... thanks Cutler!

seattle 09-14-2009 5:52 PM

Been burned too many times buying into the latest greatest phenom who's gonna make history. Running backs don't impress me anymore, offensive linemen do. <BR> <BR>Boy, I knew McNabb wouldn't last in Philly and Vic would move to the front. But one and done? Interesting to see what they do this week with McNabb hurt and Vic is still on the bench. <BR> <BR>Didn't realize my boy Galloway had moved to New England either. I love watching him smoke guys ten years his junior.

seattle 09-16-2009 7:58 AM

It's Wednesday folks. Let's get our predictions in... <BR> <BR>This week my Hawks roll down to San Fran and hand it to them. They'll have no chance against our offense, and little to no offense against our flying "D"! Hawks 24 - San Fran 7.

09-16-2009 12:28 PM

you're crazy, your offense looked good against the worst team in the league. this guy is gonna own your seachickens. he's a bad, bad man <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/4387/734728.jpg" alt="Upload">

wakeworld 09-16-2009 12:38 PM

So, how about double or nothing on November 12?

airrantz 09-16-2009 1:07 PM

Don't get me wrong Willis is a stud I just don't think Mr. Gore is going to like our new outside linebacker. 31-13 Hawks <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/4387/734738.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by airrantz on September 16, 2009)

I'm just glad Big Ben sold his motorcycle. The Steeler's offense is completely dependant on his arm.

seattle 09-17-2009 6:27 PM

"So, how about double or nothing on November 12?" <BR> <BR>Sounds good to me.

iridelow1998 09-20-2009 4:27 PM

There have been some excellent games so far today! Go Cowboys on Sunday night!!

jefefitz 09-20-2009 4:32 PM

I think mr gore likes your new seagull just fine

sidekicknicholas 09-20-2009 4:51 PM

^ +1. I believe Gore himself had 86% of what the Seahawks total offense was. <BR> <BR>Pwned.

iridelow1998 09-20-2009 5:13 PM

How bad is your division when San Fran is in first place at ANY point in the season?

polarbill 09-20-2009 7:40 PM

Wow, the Seahawks looked like crap. We are getting hit with the injury bug again. Hopefully Hasselbeck is going to be ok.

seattle 09-21-2009 6:35 AM

We looked like ish yesterday. With Matt out we're in limp mode again. I'm hoping Mora gets the fact that Seneca will never be the guy and decides to let Teal get some game time. I honestly think Teal is going to be our future.

zo1 09-21-2009 6:48 AM

Wow a familiar comment coming out of Tony Romo... <BR> <BR><b>"I'm really, really disappointed in myself right now," Romo said. "You work so hard on something and you try to do certain things to change them. It's disappointing and frustrating. I'm really not OK with it right now and I'll try to rectify tomorrow and tonight to get better and improve." </b>

deuce 09-21-2009 7:44 AM

Well...the Broncos will win at least 2 games this year!

seattle 09-21-2009 12:17 PM

"I think mr gore likes your new seagull just fine" <BR> <BR>We'll see how well he likes it when Lofa is back and we're in our house.

airrantz 09-21-2009 1:53 PM

Ugh worst week ever to post a bit of smack on Wakeworld. Curry looked absolutely lost out there on D. Hopefully Mebane and Lofa really mean that much to our run D and it will show back up when they're healthy. Let's hope Hass is back sooner than later too although it didn't look good at the time. I gotta hand it to San Fran they looked mean out there.

hudd007 09-21-2009 4:14 PM

HAHHAHAHA Seachicken fans!!! You guys got OWNED by the Niners. Undefeated and RUNNING away with the NFC West. Scott, Great call on Willis owning the Chickens. Only 5 tackles but a BIG one. Niners have faced 2 QB's, and injured them both. Watch out next week Favre....

09-21-2009 4:57 PM

HAHA, nice game Cliff! No chance against that offense huh? <BR> <BR>Curry with a huge missed tackle late and a late facemask call as well. Somebody needs to let Hasselbeck know that you DO NOT run towards the middle of the field against the Niners. That guy that roams around out there is pretty gnarly <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/wink.gif" border=0>

airrantz 09-21-2009 8:05 PM

We'll be tied again next week no worries there. I have a feeling Minnesota won't give up 200 yards on the ground, and Hass is gonna be back and lighting up the Bears.

dlamont 09-22-2009 2:17 PM

49ers won that game on two plays against a rookie LB and two back up LBs. Big deal. You are supposed to win your home games 49er fans, I know that it has been a while.

wakeworld 09-22-2009 3:00 PM

^^^ Gotta hand it to Seahawk fan for knowing how to talk smack pre-game, but the post-loss smack is about as weak as it gets! <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0>

jessemitchell 09-22-2009 5:17 PM

haha the niners fans kinda sound like the Bills fans last year 5-0!!! WERE BACK!!! <BR> <BR>GL against the Vikes

sidekicknicholas 09-22-2009 5:58 PM

Darren lamont wrote: <BR>"49ers won that game on two plays..." <BR> <BR>Amazing.... the beat the Seahawks with only two plays, they are worse than I thought! Usually its a whole games worth to beat someone. <BR> <BR>Kinda shocked the Packers got served... guess I'm a Vikes fan now, GO BRETT GO!

seattle 09-22-2009 7:06 PM

Matt's gonna play this coming Sunday. Lofa will be back running the D. I'm going with Hawks by ten.

seattle 09-27-2009 7:05 PM

Fricken Hawks!<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/angry.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>We literally gave that game to Chicago today! Anyone see Mora's interview after the game? I'm guessing Olindo Mare is gonna be looking for a new job this coming week.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/uhoh.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>Niner's have to be heart broken after getting burned by the ole man today.

jefefitz 09-27-2009 8:43 PM

heartbroken...but still on top in the west!!

wakeworld 09-27-2009 8:46 PM

Sweet!! Rams are only one game behind the Seachickens and two games out of first!! <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0>

wakeriderixi 09-27-2009 9:51 PM

Mercy Percy... dudes lookin' good!! Would love to still have him at UF. Louis Murphy for that matter!! <BR> <BR> <BR>Go PATRIOTS!!!!!!!! Get back soon Welker!

dav51lin 09-28-2009 1:47 AM

seahawks the ugliest uniforms in the nfl to go with an ugly game

02wakesettervlx 09-28-2009 4:44 AM

Thanks for the gift Cliff. Ugly game, but a W is a W. <BR> <BR>Gotta be tough to be a Steelers fan today.

dlamont 09-28-2009 9:30 AM

what is going on in the NFL? Bengals beat the Steelers? The Jets and Broncos are both 3-0? <BR>BTW that Seattle game was awful, can we please get our starters back?

deuce 09-28-2009 9:44 AM

Brett Favre running 40 yards down the field and launching himself into a block of Patrick Willis is as good as it gets. That is the EXACT REASON I am glad Favre is back in the NFL. <BR> <BR>How many times have you seen a QB do something like that....?

09-28-2009 10:02 AM

total heartbreaker.... <BR> <BR>oh well, at least I can always count on losses from the Rams, Hawks and Cards to keep us in 1st.

sidekicknicholas 09-28-2009 10:18 AM

Brett Favre, love him or hate him... he's still got it.

liveoz 09-28-2009 2:14 PM

Cliff, <BR> <BR>I think Mora looks like a duesh. Instead of calling out your kicker, how about calling some plays that go for 7 instead of always settling for 3. I won't watch another hawks game this year after seeing that post game interview. I thought he called a terrible game and deserved to lose. <BR> <BR>As a Charger Fan we had to constantly watch the team give up a 4th quarter lead with Marty calling the plays, I see an unfortunate similarity with Mora. <BR> <BR>And on another note, the chargers might want to get their heads out of their *** before heading to Pittsburg next week.

wakeworld 09-28-2009 3:05 PM

Damn, that Marty! 14-2 is not good enough. Fire him and start over! <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

liveoz 09-28-2009 5:29 PM

Not when you go back to marty ball and lose in the playoffs with home field throughout. Culpepper was 15-1 with the Vikings but choked in the playoffs as well. Sometimes the regular season record can be deceiving. <BR> <BR>Don't think that I am a fan of Smith or even Spanos though, I would rather have seen them go. Turner did a lot with a banged up team in the playoffs last year, but was lucky as hell to get them there, so who knows? <BR>It would be nice if they would figure it out before they start to lose the current talent. <BR> <BR>end of rant

dlamont 09-29-2009 10:58 AM

Can someone please get this man the ball more?!?! Still my favorite reciever in the NFL. <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/4387/737948.jpg" alt="Upload">

airrantz 09-29-2009 11:04 AM

I agree that Steve Smith needs the ball more but the offensive coordinator for the Panthers needs to be fired. What ever happened to setting up the pass with the run. Carolina easily could have one of the better power running games with DeAngelo and Stewart (see last year) and still throw the ball around the field. They flat out gave up on the run which was working and made it so Dallas could pin their ears back and blitz Delhomme into three turnovers. Rant from a DeAngelo fantasy owner over.

zo1 09-29-2009 11:34 AM

^^ You need a QB in order to get Smith the ball. Panthers signed themselves to years of mediocre football when they extended Delohmes contract this off season. No Way that guy wins you a SB.

seattle 09-30-2009 5:34 AM

Ok... <BR> <BR>Done licking my wounds from last weeks disgrace. I'm picking the Hawks by three against the Colts this week. Why??? I just got a feeling they'll come out flat and under estimate our desire to turn the corner on our recent losses.

wakeworld 09-30-2009 12:05 PM

My prediction for next weekend was that Cliff was going to pick the Seahawks to win over a team that they have no chance of beating even if they swapped quarterbacks! I'm right again!!

sidekicknicholas 09-30-2009 12:21 PM

^ Safest bet in football. <BR>HAha

09-30-2009 2:01 PM

completely delusional at this point, there must be something good in that Seattle water!

iridelow1998 09-30-2009 4:35 PM

I'm paying my mortgage betting the opposite of what Cliff says. If Cliff ever comes to SoCal I'm buying him a beer, it's the least I can do!

seattle 09-30-2009 6:06 PM

Your comments do little to dissuade my faith. As all of you should know by now, my goggles can't be knocked off.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/kiss.gif" border=0>

jefefitz 09-30-2009 7:17 PM

unfortunately for cliff, the colts could come out flat for 3.75 quarters and peyton can still get up and down the 4 or five times against the much maligned seagull secondary. i don't know if you still have olindo kicking your fg's up there but it wont matter how many he makes or misses. 3's dont match up well with 7's

wakeriderixi 09-30-2009 10:00 PM

Go Patriots!!!!!

iridelow1998 10-04-2009 5:14 PM

There are a lot of teams who truly stink this year and my Cowboys are one of them. I see there's not a whole lot of smack being talked this year fellas, what's up? <BR> <BR>It's hard to say that it could be worse but I guess I could be a Rams or Raiders fan. I'm not talking smack with that one it's just that I watch those games every week actually pulling for those teams but they don't even look like they can stumble into a win. The Rams look like they may be the Lions of 2009.

deuce 10-04-2009 5:19 PM

What a great finish in the Broncos game! <BR> <BR>4-0!!!

sidekicknicholas 10-04-2009 5:33 PM

Seahawks ?!

iridelow1998 10-04-2009 5:35 PM

The Cowboys-Broncos game was a battle of who wanted it less! I wouldn't get too excited about 4-0, a listless Cincy team, a victory over the Browns, a win over possibly the worst team in the league and a win against a team who clearly wasn't interested in winning the game. It's hard to argue with 4-0 but given the circumstances, I wouldn't be expecting too much more. When you guys play a team who wants to win a game watch out!!

iridelow1998 10-04-2009 5:39 PM

Yeah Nick, speaking of stinky teams!

wakeworld 10-04-2009 5:50 PM

Yeah, that's 14 in a row for my Rams. We're looking to break some records! Could be worse. I could be a Seahawks fan!! <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0>

liveoz 10-05-2009 8:57 AM

Hey Chargers, any chance you can play some defense this year, 38 against the Steelers and 31 against Baltimore, hate to see what the colts or patriots would do. end of rant.

deuce 10-05-2009 9:09 AM

Cannot think of a non-playoff game or game that didn't involve the Broncos, that I have been more excited to watch than tonight's Vikings vs. Packers game.....

sidekicknicholas 10-05-2009 9:19 AM

PACKERS vs. Brett Favre tonight! <BR> <BR>As a wisco guy I hope that Brett Favre wins, not the vikes... only way I want the vikes to win is because Favre throws for like 500 yards and 6 td passes... otherwise... go pack go!

puckinshat 10-05-2009 9:30 AM

I hate football (flame on) but I clicked on this thread because I wanted to see what everyone thought of the Vikes/Green Bay game tonight. It is huge talk around here in MN, on every radio station, every news channel, and my monday night hockey even got canceled becasue of the game. I will watch the game tonight becasue I really want to see Farve smash the Packers, effin cheese heads!

mendo247 10-05-2009 10:03 AM

I'd be allot more excited about tonights game if it was in GB.. Should be good none the less..

dlamont 10-05-2009 10:16 AM

I am calling for Teal to start for the Hawks next week if Hasselbeck can't go. Wallace looked terrible along with all the rest of the Seachickens. Manning is the best QB in the NFL right now. <BR>On a brighter note, Romo should go back to dating Jessica Simpson. It is clearly the only thing he is good at.

deuce 10-05-2009 7:36 PM

Added bonus with Brett Favre continuing to play, gratuitous shots of Deanna Favre cheering him on.

deuce 10-07-2009 11:02 AM

Crabtree signs. <BR> <BR> <BR>Braylon Edwards traded to the Jets.

10-07-2009 11:33 AM

Coincedence? <BR> <BR>I think not, the 9ers better be getting compensated...

sidekicknicholas 10-09-2009 10:29 AM

I picked up the Jags D for fantasy this week, knowing who they were playing.

jefefitz 10-09-2009 3:03 PM

Cliff talks big for a guy with no secondary, very little pass rush and a banged up o line. and since when was a win against the jags considered "big?" oh yeah, when your 1-3!!!!!!!!! <BR> <BR>niners by a touch btw
