I ride 12 degrees on the outside and 15 degrees on the inside. Pretty wide stance too.
as wide as it will go and ducked like a motha f---!!!!!!!!
all the way out

ducked well
all the way out on the board, and 22 degrees pointed out. and i ride the lyman, so all the way out is rather wide compared to most boards
When you guys say "ducked like a mo fo", do you mean beyond your god-given naturally ducked stance? I'm assuming it doesn't get uncomfortable?

I have mine set as wide as possible, but my duck is set as my natural stance. I jump in the air, land, and look at my feet. This is how I gauge how "ducked" I should be. Should I be ducked out more than that, to gain stability?

duck, duck, duck, duck, duck. Never thought I would use it so many times in one paragraph.
Wide and ducked. How far you duck your stance kinda' depends on two factors, you natural "duck - ness", and how far out your stance is. If you really widen your stance, ducking can help alleviate some of the stress on your knees.
Pretty wide, I used to ride all the way out with a slight duck on my stance on my 143 Covin, but when I got my 08 Shane boots, they forced me to go one in from the widest stance with the same duck. I wasn't too sure, but i put the board on, and did some squats, and it actually felt great, so I guess it'll just depend on the size of the board.
As narrow as possible and pigeoned son!!!

pigeon is the new duck.
138 size board ,size 10 bindings, left foot foward one in and ducked out +-12 degrees
22.5" neutral +/-12
All the way in both feet facing the nose. Like a down hill snowboarder.. I had to custom drill out my bindings to get that extra arrow dynamic stance.
STANCE UPDATE: After watching Randall Harris in Natural Born Thrillaz and Danny Harf in Counterfeit This, I've decided to remove my rear binding in an attempt to appear more manly and pull 1 foot tricks. 1 Binding is the new "Safe/Sensible/Logical" 2 Bindings!

watch this space for a blown knee!

well put chris M!

Anyone ride all the way out on the new CWB decks with the 6 inch plates? That's a pretty wide stance...
Roddyrod, I have. It feels about the same as last years.
all the way and a nice comfortable duck to it.
Roddyrod... That's the only way. GANGSTA' stance!!! Ha, ha, ha.. I love it. I wont even ride my old CWB decks anymore because I can't get the stance wide enough.
all the way in and pigeon toed!!!
^^^same as Andy^^^
but for you guys who dont have a bunch of stance knowledge like just for example, Mike3500, all the way out and ducked super f***** ridiculous does relieve knee stress but however does cause your knees to buckle alot easier. I am sure that most people do not even realize it but I know that somone can back me up that too ducked is bad for your knees. But comfortable is the way to go, dont over do it.

I used to work at a boardshop. The reps give the highs and the lows of everything just about on a wakeboard. Nintzel or any other pro rider could even tell you that.

Andy next time you are in the bay area you should hit up me or M-dizzle, we ride together all the time and would be happy to have you out for a set or 2.
I ride all the way out, ducked 15 degrees both feet. Im 5'10" 170.
Mike,

that would be sick man! I am hoping to bounce out that way in the spring for CIE Spring Ride, I will hit you guys up for sure.

I dont know if this is true or not but I was told (from a Doctor) that while a SUPER Duck stance seems easy on the knees, it put them into situations that could pop ACL and MCLs more frequently due to the twisting motion that is increase because of the super duck. He then followed that up by saying that's why "most" snowboard rentals at ski areas set the boards up with Zero Duck. Again Dont have anything but word of mouth to back this up with.
i used to ride all the way out and ducked as much as possible. last year i started playing with my stance a bit and found a few things to be quite intriguing.

when all the way out and ducked all the way i found that stylie grabs were easier and i was able to poke stuff out more.

when i backed off a little on the duck to a more comfortable neutral position i found that stock inverts and spins became easier but slightly less stylie

then i went one in on both feet and kept the duck to a comfortable position i found that technical tricks ( ie.. blind landings, mobes, and spins more than 3-s like 5s and 7s) became easier. grabs were possible but still didnt feel like there was as much style to them.

i guess i have some more playing around to do this year
all the way out, Jenna Jameson style ducked feet
I'm going to college for athletic training and the best way to tear apart an ACL is with your foot ducked way out and then have your knee bend in (buckle towards the center of the board) which can happen much easier with a very wide stance....explains alot of things i think
^^^^ I just experienced this it sux.
but caleb, its the cool thing to do. youve gotta have that gangsta stance...

I agree with Caleb, being a physical therapy student the more ducked your feet are the more pressure is being put on your medial(inside) knee and ulitmately your ACL and PCL.
2nd from the inside, ~15-20 degrees (stupid cwb messing with the degree marks making them different for left and right boots). I'm a pretty short guy and not very gangsta :-)
As Such

"but caleb, its the cool thing to do. youve gotta have that gangsta stance..."

Wow, do your husbands ride too? Jeez, thank god Mitch is here to set you pansies straight. If you don't ride all the way out with your feet so ducked the toes point in opposite directions, you're not a man.
haha agreed . . . i would much rather not be a "gangsta" and have my original ACL's
all out with a +-12deg duck.
