Trouble adjusting to new vlx wake From 21v

Got a new 2012 vlx and I am having a hard time
Adjusting. I had a Nautique and then a 21v so I am used to more
Abrupt takeoffs. I am throwing everything too early. Anyone else experience this? Something I'll get used to?

You'll get used to it. Put the wedge down to make it steeper?
