If I'm not mistaken, there was a picture of this exact board in the July issue of Wakeboarding Magazine.

FlipsidE

Not a problem man. I've never ridden a CWB board, but I have to say...the look of them is wearing on me quickly. That is a VERY cool looking board!

FlipsidE

I believe the hull is the same as the Absolute, which rides sweet. They're super lite too.

you can buy it from barts for $299. the 135 is 7.6lbs. thats not very light at all.

jarrod 06-27-2003 9:36 AM

Ouch. I guess since my Absolute is lite I assumed it would be the same. The 134 Plat Absolute is only 6.5.

Can you actually create your own graphics like how would you do that anyway? spraypaint?
I think it looks sweet in plain white.

andrew,

I agree. Boards these days are a bit too cluttered with crazy icons, designs, and drawings. And, I think it's getting to be a bit much, although some of the drawings and designs do look kick ass!. Still, I miss the days of solid color boards.

Though, I probably would sticker that board up like crazy.

FlipsidE

CWB is selling the Pure (board above) with stencils for 04. Much like that of the Billabong "tag a trunk". It's an awesome idea.

Yeah - Too bad CWB didn't think of it!

Is it just me or is the press release for the board a "joke"...
The last few years CWB has used prototype versions of their new shapes at the Wakeboard Expo Trade show in all white tops, no graphics to show off the C.A.P.T. appearance of molding the board to add strength and reduce weight. They had so many dealers say they wanted to buy boards just like that because it was so clean, simple and cool looking. Now CWB is reacting to the requests of our dealers to introduce the Pure wakeboard.
Available in 135 cm and 141 cm lengths. It has a special "dome" applied to the top of the board between the binding location to identify the model and brand. Besides looking good in all white, we know that many of them will be "decaled"or "stenciled" by riders making the board a more personal statement by applying their own graphic.

The CWB Pure wakeboard features four small molded in fins on the bottom with a removable center fin, providing lots of options for tracking or for the more progressive "loose" style of riding. This model also has the popular "spine" running down the center of the bottom of the board. The spine, or raised area, cushions landings. This board has lots of rocker, and is almost 17" wide in the middle to create incredible "pop" off the wake. The unique molded C.A.P.T. top also reduces the swing weight making the Pure easier to spin. Compression molded glass wrap around a Baydur Polyurethane resin core, with molded-in inserts for extra durability. The white top material is PBT, and Korad is used for the bottom for strength.
Available blank or as a "package" with black CWB Torq adjustable bindings . Sizes XS-M (6-8), and L-XXL (8-13).
