A buddy of mine has a 2001 Sky Supreme and his steering cable is shot. I guess the manufacturer is out of biz, and I'm trying to help him find the cable -does anyone know of a place we can find either the steering cable itself, or at least a part #? <BR>Thanks

The part number is on the old cable...it might be a Quicksilver cable...supreme used those for a few years around that time. Either way, a new cable kit should be a very easy find.

West Marine should have it. The link above shows a rotary cable, however, you are looking for a rack and pinion cable. <BR> <BR>If he can crawl under the dash, the cable number should be printed right on the sleeve of the cable near the helm unit.

oops my bad on the link. you definately want the rack and pinion steering.
