There is a surf shop in Redhook on the beach over at East wind. The guy rents surf boards, kite surfing equipment. I believe he has an old wakeboard or 2 but nothing fancy and may be able to hook you up with a pull. The beach on the other side from the shop by the Ritz can be really calm if the wind is blowing the right way. My family has a couple condo's on cabrita point close to the surf shop. I'll get a Google earth pic up for you tomorrow to show you where it is.

There is also a surf shop in Haven's site ( where the cruise ships come in) that may have someone that could hook you up.

I'm planning a trip to somewhere in the caribbean also, possibly st maarteen, st lucia, or st. barths. There was one website that i found sometime back that offered wakeboarding pulls as they do for snorkling, windsurfing, etc. cant seem to remember what site, which island. Anyone have any recommendations on which island is best if i want to catch a set?

Hey! Is Duffys Love Shack still there? I heard Red Hook has changed a bunch but the GE shot looks about the same. Man I got Hammered in that place... :)

Not quite St. Thomas area, but I made a stop in Turks and Caicos and loved it. I didn't go wakeboarding at this place because I was having too much fun diving but it looked pretty legit.

I was in St. Thomas the week after Turks and Caicos and have to say I really like T&C much better in all respects.

Baitkiller. Ya Duffy's is still there in the parking lot! I've had a few good nights there myself. There's also a duffy's on St.John.

It has changed a bit. There are a couple new buildings and they have redone the whole ferry terminal area with a big parking lot and building.

Lots of the "super all inclusives" have wakeboarding as one of their options.. I've wakeboarded and slalomed in Jamaica and the Bahamas..

You're doing it for the experience. Not to get out and ride.. The water is typically fairly choppy - even when it looks calm.. No ballast, typically a ski rope with stretch, etc..

BUT - there is absolutely NOTHING cooler than cutting 20 feet outside of the wake, looking down and seeing the bottom of the ocean floor even though it's 30+ feet deep.. It's surreal.

Nice Michael!! I have dove Cozumel so much its starting to get a little dull at this point, but next time I go now I will definitely try to smuggle the skate in along with all the dive gear. That looks like a lot of fun.
