I'm looking at both boats as an option to buy both boats are 2008 and fully loaded difference in price is around 5K but mothly payments would be roughly the same. I really need some imput. Test drove both and each has things i like which the other doesnt (ie wake size, seating, storage etc.). Which boat would you get knowing what i've told you. I know which way i'm leaning but just need some imput. Boat will be used 50% Wakeboarding 50% Wake Surfing. Thanks guys

I vote for the VTX. I bought a 2008 and love it. Make sure you get the power wedge, acme 1237 prop,340 monsoon and front ballast. The wake is great! We use the boat on a shallow private lake and no other boat handles like the VTX. We wakeboard 100%. I sold my 2005 VLX to get the VTX and have no regrets!

The 210 wake is great, but if hurts my knees. With the power wedge you can achieve a similar wake with the VTX, but with a longer transition. Also, since the ballast on the VTX is under the floors, you still have all of the compartments to add additional ballast should you want it. <BR> <BR>Personally, I just think the VTX gives you more verstility. The wake can be anything from a beginner wake to a pro wake while still giving you plenty of cabin and storage space. The 210 is going to offer you an advanced - pro wake with not so much room in the cabin.

i think it also depends on your riding style. the new 210 had great verticle pop i thought with just stock ballast. i didnt get to surf it though. surfed the 230 and that was huge!

I think the 210 offers you a true wakeboard specific machine. The zero off is great, you will lose seating compared to the VTX, but the versatility of the seating on the 210 makes it worth the loss. The standard ballast is more then enough for beginner to intermediate riders and it doesn't take to much more weight to get a pro style wake. Great fuel efficiency. I believe the CC also comes standard w/a better warranty (but not sure). Can't offer much input on wake surf sorry. I vote CC 210

Seating in the VTX is 10 the 210 is 11. Another concern is resale value. I appreciate the imput guys. The warranty on the 210 is 3 years motor transmission 5 years bumper to bumper 210 has the better warranty for sure

For 5k difference, no question, go with the 210. <BR> <BR>That sounds off to me. Thought VTX was 50 and 210 65, but whatever deal you're working - work it. <BR> <BR>And I say that as a huge VTX fan. Resale is better on the 210 and the ballast needed (forget the Wedge) it takes to get a world-class wake is less with the 210.

I have ridden behind two VTXs and both of them bounce a whole lot with the wedge all the way down. Makes it hard to ride behind it. To me a 20' boat is not worth it. I would get the 210. It is a nautique after all...

Did you say X15. Hands down the better choice. Seating is huge, stock wake is good but with all of the storage you can hide weight forever. We run an extra 1500 lbs in ours and can't imagine needing more than that, plus the surf wake is un-real especially for goofy riders. Really you have to feel fortunate to have this choice to make!

X15 for sure or 210 for sure. If you plan on keeping it a long while I would choose the naugty just for the warrenty. But the X15 has a much bigger feel to it, especially in interior space.

Yes the X15 does feel like a bigger boat with a little more storage, <b>but</b> the X15 is also $8,000 - $10,000 more in my area than a 210 equally equipped. That's why I got my 210 and I love it. The wake has a great pop at the top that is probably the flagship for the Nautique line. <BR> <BR>The surf wake is nothing short of awesome. Right now we just use the stock ballast and the wake is great. Starboard side tank and belly tank full, gets a nice curl at about 10.8 on Zero Off. Port tank full and belly tank full, gets a nice wake, but with a little less curl and some prop wash. We just need to fine tune it a little, but the prop rotation is some of the problem. With the stock ballast and two big boys on the back water was about 4" from coming in the side vents, so it's a pretty good wave. <BR> <BR>I may be a little biased because I have one, but I searched and researched for over 3 years before I purchased my 210 and I am so glad I went Nautique. I will probably always be CC unless something drastic changes. I am completely satisfied with everything from the quality to innovation to customer service.

Now, I have a sweet spot for the MC X-15 so that gets my vote, but... <BR> <BR>Deciding between the VTX and the 210, you might want to ride behind the Nautique before you purchase. The wake in my experience is quite different (neither better nor worse) behind the CC than the Bu or MC have. Some people love the hard straight up elevator pop, others like myself want a bit of transition on our way up <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0>. Either way, you'll be on the water.

I personally wouldn't put Malibu in the same catagory as MC and CC. That is just me. I think that the X-15 and 210 are better built boats.

Wall to wall fiberglass is better you have me there <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0>, Oh and not being able to remove any seats becuase they are all hinged = real PITA IMO <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0>. my malibu warranty is "extended" 6 yrs bumper to bumper. <BR>and you should be comparing sante to a vlx not vtx.

That and the flightcrap tower is in a league of it's own, looks like dunebuggy rollcage. Built good but the seating layout sucks.

I was being a smart donkey actually, it's one of the things I like about them. Makes the installs really easy.

I am not bashing bu's, personally I think they have the best stock wake of any of the big named boat builders. I just think that the other two, MC and CC have a better over all build quality. Again, that is just my opinion.

Haha...for people thinking Nautiques need the warranty it looks like Malibu is the one having to recall all of their 08 models.

i like the wedge and what it does to the wake but alot of people obviously dont like it, it gives the wake a lip at the top, oh and for the recalls at least they are doing something about a problem that has arised, MC wuold have made everyone pay for there mistake... personally i just get irritated with their ballest pumps never working... to me that should be a recall

Sean - there's nothing to really like or dislike. If you are weighting the boat heavily, it doesn't even factor in (as far as I've ever experienced). In a lot of cases it may as well not even have been installed. If you are taking a lot of beginner-intermediate level people out, you'll want it to provide options. A stock-weighted Wakesetter with the Wedge retracted or deployed - either way not my cup of tea. A properly weighted one = really nice tea!

Wow Erik, I guess you really told us. PS Malibu doesn't make that shift assembly. ZF does. <BR> <BR>And take it from someone who has ripped apart both manufacturers boats for stereo installs. I like what I see in a Malibu much better than a Nati. <BR> <BR>Both are great boats.

Allright guys id like to add a few comments to this, first off i regularly ride behind two malibu vlx's one an 07 and the other is an 08. Ill start off with the Bu's <BR>The 07 has the 383 engine, and the 08 has the 320, with stock ballast and the wedge both boats get horrible fule mileage !!! I mean really bad and gets even worse when weighted. We usually get about 4 sets out of half a tank, and personally i think the wake sucks with the 1250lb stock ballast. Also, you are usually lucky if you can get the power wedge to deploy properly. However, the bu's interior is nice, and they do have nicer stereo equipmnet.

Great VLX blame someone else for their issues. They select their suppliers the problem falls on them. So what have you seen that you like so much better? and I am sure you are not biased at all. Neither am I.
