ask a more specific question for starters. There's also a ton of info on that if you search the site.

Sorry here's more info...
The system I'm attempting to set up would consist of the following:

Clarion Deck w/satlite tuner and wired remote
1 Amp (power the tower)
4 Tower Speakers
4 Speakers in the boat
? 2nd Battery
? perko switch
looks good, add an amp for the boat speakers, a sub, a dedicated amp for the sub and your good to go.

whats a perko switch?

sarandoug 06-15-2006 4:23 PM

a perko switch, is a switch that allows you to isolate a battery in a multiple battery type of setup...

You can get a 5 channel amp and it will cover the whole system if wired properly. It will take up less space.

why would you want to isolate battery's, wouldint you be using both of them all the time anyway?

Justin-Its crucial on a boat to be able to isolate the stereo battery from the starter battery, especially if you have a larger stereo system and listen to the music with the key off. Obviously its alot harder to bump-start a boat vs. a car
