Definately needs bigger tires to fill out the wheel well, but has strong potential. I think it will grow on me.

Very strange looking bed. Is it a stepside or not? It looks like half of each.

First impression is that looks better than I feared from seeing the new Tahoe's. I agree the bed looks goofy, and the rear shot makes it look like a Colorado, but I do like those head lights. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the HD versions, as that is what I'd be interested in.

i am a huge chevy fan...but it is a truck..so why would u strap anything to the roof(why the roof racks?)..also the rear chevy emblem looks silly under the tailgate handle...but as with everything...it will grow on me <BR> <BR>DRew

I've been browsing the pickup sites for months and the first pic I see of the new truck is from the WW crew, WTG guys! I like the front, the bed is going to have to grow on me. Hopefully they didn't make the bed like the Fords...us short guys can't get anything off the floor without getting into the bed!

aaaaaggggghhhh... the took the ugliest parts of a ford, dodge, and toyota, and put them all into one making officially the ugliest truck i have ever seen... its too tall (dodge), the box looks almost useless (ford) and that fron end looks like a 3 year old puked all over it (toyota) <BR> <BR>and this coming from a guy that bleeds bowties, i guess ill have to get an 06 duramax, and not an 07

I'm going to go the other way and say, I like it. Also, I'm a Chevy guy. Does kind of remind me of the Toyota styling wise, but I think the Toyota's look cool too. I second the bigger tire's. That thing would look great with the 20's that come on the Tahoe or Avalanche.

I am a huge fan of the new Avalanche and Tahoe, but I think this thing is ugly. Looks like a big Colorado. I think my new vehicle will be an '07 Avalanche. <BR> <BR>IMO, the door handles and mirrors look horrible.

I think the rounded look makes the truck look small. I like the clean lines of the current body style. If they make a half ton with a diesel I will plop down the cheese.

call me crazy, but i think it looks like a cross between a nissan froniter and a titan (roof racks a la frontier, bed and two color front bumper a la titan)... only both the nissans are much better looking!

I believe those "fender flares" on the bed are used to compensate for the four wheel steering. Ugly as hell, but functional. <BR> <BR>Owned Chevy's my whole life, but not a fan so far. Although I will say the new Tahoe's are growing on me (slowly).

I'm not the biggest fan but it looks better than the current Silverado and a whole lot better than the new F-150. I hate how they keep shortening the bed to make more room in the cab. If you don't need a truck bed, then maybe a truck isn't for you. I want a bed I can lay a sheet of plywood in without much overhang. I actually like the roof rails. It would give me something to tie long items like PVC pipes to. Does the Silverado still have a manual transmission? I refuse to buy a new F-150 or Ram because neither offer one and I don't need a hulking F-250. I haven't bought a Chevy since the POS Silverado I bought in 1985. This could bring me back into the fold.

I think I'll keep my 2003 Silverado for awhile! <BR> <BR>not a fan...

I like it better then the new tahoe....The new tahoe to me looks like a wannabe MTV raps video, and not like a full size SUV...I two would be interested in the HD version..

front end of that truck looks sweet, the bed sides are terrible. wonder what the gmc frontend will look like.

I personally like the nose and most of the cab. The bed however really sucks. OverallI think that it looks pretty good. It definitely looks better than the Avalanche.

No Ryan you are mistaken. That is the new Half ton. The Chevrolet and Gmc lines will have totally new front fascia on the trucks unlike they have in the past. I am a huge Chevrolet fan but I am not quite sure about this one. I hope to see a new rear and front bumper and a regular bed on the truck not the molded sportside. The interior is very nice though.

Maybe they were market testing to a younger crowd because I think the new design (Tahoe, Silverado, Avalanche, and the Caddy versions) all look great. The only thing I dont like it that they need bigger tires but that is a easy fix.

unfortunately...umm no <BR> <BR>this ISN'T the new half ton. we already had the new half ton here on the dealer tour...not to mention the literature we have on it. sorry, but being a chevy fan doesn't always mean you're in the know

The new Avalanche is out and it has the Tahoe front end. My guess would be the new 1/2 tons would have a similar front end. I think the photo is of a HD but it also has a Z71 sticker on the back? I think I just confused myself?

Well Ryan, The only new 07 truck on the Dealer tour is the new avalanche which does have the front end of the GMT 900's. I have seen this in person and it is the new half tons. When have they ever made Z71 heavy duty's? Never. <BR> <BR>I am not only a huge Chevy fan but a dealer as well. check my profile and website. Thanks and I am not trying to call you out but you are confused. The heavy duties won't be released until last quarter of 06 or first quartet of 07.

I really dislike the Silverado as the spy shots begin to roll out. When I saw what they were intending to do I thought, if your gonna copy someone, pick a single line. They have a Nissan type split front and bed has flares that resemble the Tacoma's design. <BR> <BR>Once I saw the design I went with the Avalanche. I think the truck has much more potential. Well Ken I agree with you on one part- the silverado I am not a big fan. But I have to say I have driven every new suv from GM for the last 8 years and I think the new tahoe is unbelievable. The ride and interior is great, the styling is aggressive and sexy, I think it is the best tahoe yet. Not crazy about the yukon frontend but it might grow on me. And the dealerships definitely can't keep them in stock so that is a great sign for gm. But you know what they say about opinions, they're like -----

Sorry guys but for 07 the chevy truck looks the exact same...many local dealers already have there 07s just not invoiced there on the back lots. i saw them while i was looking...

Are all Ryans in the world as credible as the ones on this forum? <BR> <BR>IMO the year model is a technicality... we're talking about the new GM truck body style, whatever year they call it. Also, when they came out with the new Silverado body in '99, they actually still built 1999 models of the old C/K body as well.
