sidekicknicholas 06-02-2008 11:19 AM

Didn't think it would ever happen...but the other day after a few solid crowmobes I was trying to take them bigger/farther to the flats and caught the back edge....

next thing I know I'm completely seperated from the board! Hurt like hell but I'm glad I know I can come out now.

anyone else have boots they WILL NOT come out of?
my shanes were really really snug

intotheflats 06-02-2008 11:29 AM

my ronix ones are pretty tight, i've only came out of them on a just a little to under rotated TS backroll

srh00z 06-02-2008 11:37 AM

I had some Collective Developments back in the day that I never came out of. I haven't come out of the 08 Murrays yet, but I haven't pushed it that hard this season.

I ride the CWB Zeus. Pretty much impossible to come out of with the hinge.

tracktor 06-02-2008 12:10 PM

Did the booties stay on your feet? They did for me........

sidekicknicholas 06-02-2008 12:21 PM

yeah, i had the booties still....made me look a little more stupid floating in pain... oh well

nickbot 06-02-2008 12:27 PM

just got some '07 Shanes...had 1 foot come out last night...didn't think that would happen. i know what you mean about them being really really snug.

tonis 06-02-2008 12:31 PM

I thought it was impossible to come out of the Zues's... it's small, but they do have an eject button somewhere

Leave it to me to put on a wreck display!

thisisbrians 06-02-2008 12:34 PM

Man, tonis. That one MUST have hurt!

seth 06-02-2008 12:37 PM

I had never come out of my Drivers either, but my last two sets I have managed to catch my edge just right to get worked and come right out of them. They were so tight on my last fall that when they came off it stretched the ligaments in my foot pretty bad and took me out of comission. I hope this is not a new trend for me!!

bmartin 06-02-2008 12:47 PM

For those of you that have been riding these really tight bindings, do you think they are safer than traditional bindings all things considered? This lack of an auto eject button worries me a bit. I pulled the trigger on the BB special a few days ago and hope I do not regret it.

behindtheboat 06-02-2008 1:07 PM

I think they are better. You just learn to fall a bit differently, because normally you're still attached so you get more whiplash type effects on your upper body, and not so many dive in, skip in type falls compared to when you would normally come out. I've come out of my shanes a few times, the worse tore the top of the binding.

srh00z 06-02-2008 1:10 PM

I'd rather come out of both boots or stay in both boots. I fear coming out of one boot only.

hawkeye7708 06-02-2008 1:14 PM

i've come out of my current 07 3DS boots only once... that hurt. Alot. I've got some 07 shanes on the way right now, so we'll see just how easy it is to get ROCKED and come outta those puppies

protag 06-03-2008 5:54 AM

Coming out of my 07 Cells regularly with my front foot when completing only 3/4 of the rotation of the backroll.

At first I thought that was impossible but after they were broken in, not anymore...

duffmangt 06-03-2008 8:19 PM

my feet try to come out of my factions from time to time and only get about half way...it hurts like crazy...i cant get to the hinge fast enough when it happens lol

(Message edited by duffmangt on June 03, 2008)

Yah I pop out of my new zueses more now than it seems the old ones like kyle said though usually only like half my foot I've only had one come out a few times never both.

wakerider111 06-03-2008 10:05 PM

a guy rode my slingshot yesterday and cought a nasty edge and was floating with some booties on looking a little dazed, trying to find the board that was about 6 ft away

i still have not hit hard enough to come out, but i sure aint trying any crows and mobes and stuff ;P

westsidarider 06-03-2008 10:33 PM

i ride 1 size smaller bindings and crank em down so that they are so tight my feet fall asleep in 10 minutes and i never come out. i love it

wakeboardern1 06-04-2008 12:19 AM

I've had one foot come out of my watson's, and that's about it. Hurt like a beeatch, as when I did the board spun around and rotated my knee. Thank god I had the presence of mind to spin with the board as it helicoptered at the surface above me. Did kind of hurt my ankle though...

duffmangt 06-04-2008 5:33 AM

has anyone seen transgression and watched randalls section? does he even lace up his boots? he comes out everytime he falls lol

jon4pres 06-04-2008 7:47 AM

I am going to buy the package today off of BBB and was wondering if since the driver boots fit so tight if I should try to get my shoe size or the next size up?

andy_nintzel 06-04-2008 8:02 AM

Kyle I totally noticed that, he seems to almost Dive out of them some times.

sidekicknicholas 06-04-2008 9:12 AM

i went a size down for tightness...you could always add to the boot liner if you need to fill space (gel insoles or something)

iamnathanhudson 06-04-2008 9:13 AM

do not size up closed toe bindings! you WILL hurt yourself!

wakeslife 06-04-2008 9:17 AM

Regarding Randall, I don't think I would want my feet staying attached to the board while taking a digger at 28 mph... maybe he simply prefers to come out.

j_money 06-04-2008 9:21 AM

I like to stay in hahaha...
13 year old joke of the day for me....

ttrigo 06-04-2008 9:44 AM

"I ride the CWB Zeus. Pretty much impossible to come out of with the hinge."

not really. I came out a couple of times last year. both times catching a back edge. pretty funny seeing the board the next day and seeing everything still locked up real tight.
