I have an 05 Wakesetter VLX and I called the guy that does all my tint on my cars to see if he could do my boat and he asked if the glass on my boat was tempered or not. Does anyone know what kind of glass is used on these boats.

i have an 06 wakesetter and have mine tinted .you should be just fine. you will have to take the window off, surprisingly its pretty easy.

Yeah Take off the windows and bring it to him, the tint should come out fine.

Yes, it's tempered glass.

Buddy of mine had is 07 LSV windshield tinted. The guy cursed him the whole time. Then charged him an arm & a leg. My brother has an 03 XTI & had the same problem. Something about the curve of the glass making it difficult to tint. Good luck.

If your tint guy is good, you should not have to take the window off. My tint guy actually came to me, but that is b/c he is a friend and my boat is in a large enought building that he could work with no wind or dust. But he tinted the whole thing each side with one piece, no seams and it looks awsome. Remember if you go out at night any, do NOT go to dark. Mine is light, and at night it is still hard to see out of.

The problem with tinting boats is that the curve is so great that shrinking the tint makes it difficult. My friend owns a shop here in Cali and he takes the windows out just so you don't have lines at the bottom or top and the quality is the best that it can be. Believe me when I say that tinting boats is a HUGE pain in the a**

So what's everyone paying for this tinting? I took my windows out to get a couple quotes and was surprised at how much these places were charging. Is $350 normal? How much time goes into a tint job?

$350.00 is a fair price.... Depending on quality
