Vacation/Airplane Rig
 

I am headed to Virginia Beach for a few days and always wonder what to bring. This is what I am thinking.

- Leave home the larger bodies 5D Mark II, 1D mark IV and bring a Rebel XSi, leaving the 70-200 2.8, wish I had a 70-200 f4!!

Tamrac Expedition 5 Back Pack containing:
Rebel XSi
16-35 f2.8 (or Tokina 11-16 2.8?)
24-70 f2.8
Gitzo Traveler Tripod (straps to backpack)
580 EX II w/ CTO warming gels (family sunset portrait on beach)
15' long ETTL cord
Monfrotto Justin Clamp (turns anything into a light stand)
Cleaning Stuff (lens pen, microfiber cloth, blower, etc...)

If I have room I may try to bring the 70-200 2.8 IS but it doubt I will have room.

Rob, take a bigger pack, got to take the 70-200, you might get some good birding oppertunitys. Mine goes everywhere with me.
